Now that the Bomber is over

by JCates » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:09 pm

Never hid behind a false name like you do softball. I stated I do not have anything to do with Ice 96...I am sure their coaches will agree. However, I am sure all the parents will appreciate you posting their daughters name on this site. If you want to hide behind a fake name and go to war with me, bring it on. However, please have the integrity to keep the players out of this.

Read carefully...Ice 97, not Ice 96. Also, read carefully, I supported the Bombers 96 in a past post. You will also see that I never said anything bad about the coach of Riptide or their team...I commented that they were a very talented team. My comments are my comments and have nothing to do with the respective teams I defend. My daughter has never played for either of these teams.

Since I do not hide behind a false name it does not take a very smart individual to figure out which team I am associated with. I also realize several know me out there in the softball world. As a matter of record, my daughter was filling in for a 10U team this past weekend and was not a part of this particular game. Even if she had been my comments would have remained the same, and would have been the same if Riptide had made the move.

Continue to hide behind your false name...at least I stand behind my words.

Easy there Jerry. It was two simple questions but after rereading it I can see that you may have tassumed it was an assumption. I knew your kid was in 10U but since you seemed to have had suck first hand knowledge of the weekend I was just asking if maybe you had joined the team or were picking up. I thought maybe that was one of the knew faces.

Your assumption that I am a male would be incorrect as well.

Your assumption that I was referring to the coaching tactics in the Riptide game would be incorrect as well.

I was watching the Ice run rule the Thunder and saw some questionable tactics. Not that they were not effective, just not stuff I would want Coach to teach my kid.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

I used the word "his" in a previous post referring to you, but to be honest that was because of the Ziggy character which is male. My apologies for assuming you were male.

I went back and re-read your post as well, and can see where that was an innocent question. Based on the other posts (not by you) it came across in my first reading of your post that I was defending Ice 96 because my DD was either on the team, or filling in for them. The Riptide game was the only game I was aware of with any controversy. I was defending the strategy used in the Riptide game only, and cannot speak for other games. For the record, while I know the coaches of the other Ice teams, I do not know them well.

I agree with Red, White, My View that enough has been covered on this topic. When someone (Softballs) hides behind a false name and starts posting kids names from the team I assist in coaching, this has gone way to far. They have nothing to do with htis discussion, and eliminates that person from any credibility in determining what is, and what is not a questionable tactic.

Again, my apologies for misinterpreting your post.

Hey Zig, would you mind expanding on "questionable tactics". As mentioned before I'm new to the scene and my daughter does play for the Ice 96. I was out of town for the game and didn't hear of anything in regards to the game other than the run rule thing. I would be interested in hearing what went down. If you don't want to post here shoot me a PM.

As for screen names: Most people just pick'em, and at sometime or other they will post who they are or at least which team they are with. Would be nice if the everyone kept the info in profile updated. You can put your team name in interest and if someone looks at your profile it will show up.

RlCldH2O = Real Cold Water = Ice....Hey I know its corny but my daughter thought it was cool when I told her I was making it my screen name so I am one happy dad.

Sounds like Revenge of the Nerds
You seem well versed to be knew to HB. Maybe you just have a knew or another name?

Someone asked in one of these threads where I was. Well I have been checking out CA thread and it looks like 2 or 3 of their top teams had some parents get into it this weekend. Texas can be so boring sometimes.

As in "war of words". But it would be nice if you continued to hide.

Hah, there is no way I'm that smart

Nah, I have spent time on boards before and most have the same functionality. I sit at a PC all day so I now keep HB up in a back window. It really only took a minute or so to click the profile button and see what field was publicly viewable then click User Control Panel to set mine and check if it worked.

This is our first year in "A" select, my daughter played in Little League up until now. She did play in some all-star tournaments. They won state in Suigen last year it was a ton of fun.
