I doubt the school would want the liability involved, even if you think its OK with CIF...if you are in California.

If in So Cal. if the JV team plays, it makes the whole team ineligible to be moved up for CIF if the Varsity coach wishes them to be.

I heard some parents saying Sundays is optional. That they can do what they want. Is that true?

You can practice, you just can not play games where there are umps involved. Sam has stated before that it really doesn't matter what day, just seems that Sunday's are easier.

You still need to make sure. In San Diego, I know that Varsity can not even associate with ANY TB team during season.

Wont matter of they are Freshman or JV or Varsity. If a HS player plays on an outside team during the season (which is from their 1st GAME to the last GAME) they become ineligible)

Sunday is a great myth. not sure where it originated form. excluding San Diego, a HS player can practice 7 days a week with their travel team...... just dont know where they would have time to do so. Sundays are the preferred days for TB teams since the CIF prohibits any contact between the HS coach and their players on Sunday.

Go to your sections web site and read the rule. Dont rely on the blind leading the blind to find your info on this very important subject.
