If i'm not mistaking Texas Fury took 1st place two weekends ago in Deer Park where they had to beat the Texas Sting twice. I also recall Austins Finest lost to the Rattlers this past weekend after being ahead by 3 points.

points? ;) Really?

POOL A
Texas Fury
POOL B
Lady Longhorns
POOL C
Bandits weakest pool with nothing but 97's
POOL D
TX Ice
POOL E
Groove or 96 Sting should prevail
POOL F
Nemesis

As for mackdaddy the only team that is not,Thunder is the one that never has an excuse like you.Sorry to tell you but California could care less about the Peppers or Aces.
Peppers-don't have the coaching for the national level and daddy ball will come into play.Besides mackdaddy already practicing for ways for his DD to stay on a competitive team and ride the coat tails of talented players.
Aces-if you can't hit all the pitching means nothing, they are happy to win all the Sugarland tourneys they can.
Thunder-haven't been to Bombers in years and don't have many flaws, but would be there if tournament was run better.

That being said top teams to watch at tourney
Nemesis
Bandits

It will not be easy for the Bandits, guaranteed! Texas Ice?, Groove?...wooooow. Grove didn't place in the Valentine's Day tourney played this year. Fury and Lady Longhorns are solid for sure....I'll stop and ask the real analyst to respond:

The key for this tournament will be overall team hitting and having enough pitching (1 great, 1 above average or 2 great ones and 1 above average) to get you through the battles. Looking at the teams I'm familar with, they have 1 really good pitcher some with and some without support behind her so here's my question: What teams are equipped to endure battles for multiple games in the Bomber?

OK Nemisis will not leave the state without 3 pitchers. Lady Longhorns have great pitching. I don't know about the Texas Fury but I'd make the ASSumption...so who else? Analyze teams that have placed in tourneys with 12 or more teams because 1 above average/good pitcher in tourneys with less than 12 will get you 1 game from the "Ship" if your first bracket game is against the Texas Limestone Hillbillies from Spot, TX.

Let's keep it real.

Where are all the cry babies who were so sure the Bombers would get a easy draw. Everyone has picked the winner of the tournament to come out of their pool. Looks like smack baby was wrong again.

Good luck with your Cali simulation scrimage. Hope you have good umps and a perfect field to play on.

ur an ID10T. We have played each other for years, we know each others players, parents, what they drive, likes to eat, even some of their bedside manners!

Asmack, thanks for kind words and certainly validating my point. Have fun playing with yourselves!

Depends if your from California then points is probably completely acceptable :o

But normally the scores in any bat/ball sport are refered to as runs. ;)

Just razzing you someone has to try and lighten up the mood in this place you'd think it was July 29th and every one was loading up the cars and heading to Nats....

Glad to inform you that Cali could care less about the Fort Bend Thunder as well.

Did'nt they just place 3rd in a recent tournament behind Texas Bandits and Texas Aces?

UM, you said it, If you cant hit, rest dont matter!!!

As for them being the best team in houston, Dont see it. Being the best is winning 1st place consistantly. One of the top teams, yes, but not a proven best. Not one of the top teams have stepped up to earn that title. But it is early and only a couple of tournaments under the belt as of now. So we will see who steps up if any of them can.

Nemesis should win this hands down!

Okay People...what is all the fuss about a draw is a draw your athletes still have to play and on any given Sunday the team with the least mishaps prevail!!! :) what type of tourney? ASA,USSSA, or Triple Crown.... I'll take being in a competitive pool vs weak one, start and stay aggressive all weekend.
