04 Rocket Tech legal or not

What's on your mind?

by Lefty's Dad » Thu Feb 26, 2009 8:46 am

I have an '05 RT that sounds dead, what are the chances that I could send it to Anderson and have them fix it or replace it? Yeah, I know it's old and they probably would just tell me to buy a new one but DD likes this bat.
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.

The 04 Rocket tech has more pop than any bat on the market. I have a few 31" 04 rockets tech for a great price. I have seen these bat sell for over 400 on ebay. PM me if you want your dd to swing a 100 mph+ bat

Could you please post a pic or further describe the 04? I think I may have one, but don't know how to date it.

Thanks for posting...After a quick jump over to ebay, it appears that my mystery RT is an 05.

So Nat, in your infinite wisdom, is the 09 better than the 04? Or did RT make the best bat ever in 04 and couldn't make a better one.

You know - My personal opinion is that there is a psychological bias toward each model bat depending on which model was your (or your big sister's) first.

There will never be anyone at Anderson who will say that the '04 hit at 100 mph but tons of people that have used it will say it did/does.

The way I have seen it work is like so....

Anyone whose first bat was an '04 says nothing is better. First Anderson bat an '05? Then the '07 doesn't compare and on down the line. I know that Anderson tweaks the technology a little bit each model. Maybe a new alloy for increased durability, tweak the power arch for a somewhat larger sweet spot or if the planets are aligned, both.

I do believe that if they reissued the '04 bat in a retro model, it would fly off the shelves. All because of legend. Don't think I haven't lobbied for the cause ;)
