I had a pretty easy lesson the other day. Dad and Julie come in and he states, I want to show you what we have been doing.

He takes the bucket and Julie starts to pitch. This was strange because I always throw over hand a few minutes with the girls, and give them instruction on that (she is 7). The dad has changed her entire delivery, from the week before, and dad yells at her every time that she throws the ball over his head.

I keep saying "It is OK, she hasn't warmed up." I stood out by the little pitcher, trying to correct what I could, but it was obvious that dad had his own lesson plan.

Then, Julie starts saying that her wrist hurts. Dad says to me, her wrist always hurts a little. I said "Her wrist probably hurts a lot. She didn't warm up." I said "She is done and we will toss overhand for a little bit, to cool her down."

He paid me $20.00, just to watch his kid pitch.

I say Highschool Coach. They reep all the kids hard work (practicing,playing,lessons and personal trainers) that parents (money) put into making Salley Sue who she is before she reaches Highschool. Just my two cents...

... and in our HS's case ... Then the Math Teacher wanna-be proceeds to tell them they are doing everything wrong, mess's with their game and head ... which in turn takes weeks of lessons, practicing,playing, discussions, back yard catch and personal trainers to fix ... for those that are keeping count that makes 4 cents ...
