This "B" team is making me shake in my boots.

CHAP wrote:Joe, what has Dan Adkins ever done to ruffle your feathers? Sounds like there might be a little jealousy here. Maybe your DD didn't make a Glory team, or maybe she didn't work hard enough and got let go, I don't know, but it sounds like your a little bitter about something. All I know about Dan Adkins is he does what he says he'll do, and every kid that has played for him that really wanted to play college ball has done so. Can you stake a claim like that? I doubt it. How many kids have you help get to college? Probably zero. Don't be a hater Joe. Maybe more people would talk about you Joe, if you spent as much time and money as Dan Adkins does trying to get all his girls signed. If you don't think the new 16u team will be any good, then start you a new team up and go see if you can beat them. There was lots of talent at those try outs, it wasn't a bunch of scrubs that didn't make other teams, and I guarantee you if you asked 90% of the people there, they would tell you they were there because of Dan Adkins and the Glory organization. Dan won't tell you that he will get your kid a ride at Texas, A&M or Baylor, but he will find your kid the right fit for her where she can play. Tell me another man that will do that, flying back and forth from Georgia to Texas on their own dime.

This B team you call them got 3rd @ USFA A World Series in 08' and won there last tournament(14u open) of year last year. They may not be quite ready for Kruzers or Travelers Lust yet but don't count them short with new players this year they have really upgraded there team and with the Leadership of a long time Glory coach Richard Simpson this team will be one of the top 14u teams in state by July.
Jealousy is an ugly thing.
CHAP wrote:Joe, I think I summarized it pretty well already, why do you want to talk smack about a man that loves and devotes most of his time to this game and getting girls ready for the next level. I ask again, how many kids have you helped get to college? I probably answered that for you in my last post, ZERO. I'm not saying Dan Adkins is some kind of GOD or anything like that, heck he might not even be that great of person, I don't know, but one thing I do know is that he spends alot of his time helping these kids reach their goals of playing at the next level and there is not a whole lot of people that can say that. Like him or hate him, he's probably done more for softball in North Texas than anyone.
