Neither ASA or PGF. We are not talented enough unless we pick up a couple more players from other teams to be able to compete. And King Dan won't allow us to have losses on our record. Isn't that right softball parent 72.

:?

You don't think it's weird for a grownup to do that?

@big blue - it's okay to admit your going to NSA A in SC, don't be shy. I understand that both ASA and PGF are in California this year, but if my DD's team had a chance to go play either (which is difficult to qualify) I would find a way to pay for it and hope our team would as well.

@softball soccer dad - that's why there's a database. I know a lot of people use to check for team hoppers and so on. So no it's not weird....it's a resource.

Clearly I am the only one that thinks that a player who was playing 16U makes a move backwards to 14U, in the same season, is wrong (August to July - and I know there are those of you out there that think there are two season each year fall and spring....all the sanctioning groups don't seem to think so.). I just think it's odd how the player came from the organization (Prospects) that is merging with the organization she then went (Crush) to and they weren't having as much overall success as last season. Still a very solid season and a very good team, actually one of the better teams in the Midwest, just a step back from last season.

Oh, by the way, Runge even has posted on eTeamz that he is coaching a 14U team next season and is looking for a few players http://community.active.com/thread/295871/indiana-prospects-14u-2014-15/0/90. How do you make that announcement a month ago and have that many 14U players lined up in May? Oddly, the same time frame this player joined the Crush? I will let you all make your own connection or not.

and are going to try and say you don't know this player came from the Prospects 16U team your making yourself look foolish.
I didn't say I was unaware of what team she came from. I said "I have no knowledge of her schedule prior to this Spring."
Well, now you do. I would limagine you still don't care beacuse it benefits your DDs Team

She left the Prospects 14U Gold I didn't know there was such a team
Yeah, it seems as though there's more info you don't have either...

(which folded and not due to her leaving) to go the 16U team last fall, that's a fact.
Wait a minute. I thought you said she was 14 eligible but playing 16s because "...the competition isn't what you (she) are (was) looking for in 14u..."
Yeah, like I said she left the 14U Gold team and went to the 16U team

Trust me, there is no envy on this side of the fence. I wouldn't expect you to see anything wrong with the player making a switch if it benefits your DD's team.
I didn't see anything wrong with the (2) 12u IMG girls going to IN Gators '01 at the "end of the season" last year either. It provided them with a team to finish the season. And it just made that team even better and more of a challenge for our girls.
But they added players that played 12U all season to their team, correct?

You make it sound like King Dan has no part in this.....A team he is taking over in the fall picks up a player from his current 16U team and there's nothing more than a kid wanting to "just play the game". I have met Dan once. I cannot speak for him. But, I tell ya, if something small like this that you think he is behind has you this upset, he must be doing something right. Because, typically, the most envied people are the successful ones.
Nah, trust me no envy here, just trying to point out a bit of BS and make others aware of what some programs feel like they need to do to win. Some people are in this to solely win and some are in it for winning and for the development of players.

How many tournaments did the IC2k win in April and May before she joined the team?
You are suggesting that this new pitcher is the only reason IC2k wins or will win, lol...
You're trying to say that adding her won't help? Now that's funny...

So your DD team couldn't qualify for ASA or PGF nationals? That's the reason you want to take shots at the IC2000. Because we qualified in both and turned them down. And yes we are going to NSA A. The reason: because we won it last year!! And the funny thing is King Dan helped pay for the players we added last year. So go run with that one softball parent 72!!!

Does anyone else here think this is crazy. I don't really care why a girl who is 14U eligible played 16U and now gone back down to 14U. It a kid who wants to play softball and is doing what may be best for her. No ones business besides hers. And if she is better than some of the girls who were originally on the team, well maybe those other girls ought to get better. It's not rec ball where you try to give equal playing time. Parents should welcome better talent!

You're way too over-involved in what other people are doing. Sit back, relax, enjoy this time with your DD.....forget everything else. You're not reflecting well on her right now. And to set the example that you would do something no matter the cost.....well, to me, that says even more than you realize. There's a balance. You can get to the next level without spending the maximum.

Didn't the Indy Crush 2000 team play up in several 14u tournaments last year because they were "...looking for better competition..."?

And then they finished the season playing back in their 12u age group at the NSA World Series? Which is basically the same argument as Softball_Parent_72 only worse because it's a whole team of conspirators.

And they won that?

This just screams of a conspiracy...imagine King Dan (which is kinda growing on me) having that kind of foresight over 15 months before the Crush/Prospects merger! That guy is just amazing.

Now, the only thing better would be to call this merging team Indiana Prospects Gold Elite!
