Also: Natalia, Gladewater Sabine, Comanche, Coahoma, Hawley, Bruceville-Eddy, Whitesboro and Troy.
Comments: Samantha Show transferred in from Pearland along with a couple of other standouts making East Bernard a prohibitive favorite to dethrone Pilot Point. Santa Gertrudis has the pitching duo of Celeste Castillo and Celestial Gomez plus pretty good hitting. Mt. Vernon, who lost to Brock in regionals, returns pitcher plus seven while Brock looks very solid. Natalia returns Charlene Castro and eight starters and should be very good but is in the same region as East Bernard. Gladewater Sabine returns nine starters from an Area finalist team while Boling returns eight players.

Despite graduation losses, Sweeny is poised to crack into the top ten. Rikkilyn Hass is back on the mound for Mineola who returns a strong nucleus although a late start due to basketball players is anticipated. Kristi Rangel is back for Kingsville.
