Personal attacks on a members who disagree really is lame.
Besides what fun is it if we all agree?? I enjoyed the debate. I liked when some (panda) played devil's advocate.
BW brought the most to this table of discussion. With more logic and less emotion than a lot of men.THX BW ;)
Now if you wish to be productive in regards to this matter, why not just ask the sanctioning bodies that are TB.
PLEASE DO NOT GO OUT of THAT REALM. IT IS NOT YOUT CALL!
You could even use Heybucket they have a TCS and Premier forum. :o
A little advise on your post or email to them.
(a) Start off with a compliment on how important they are to SB.
(b) Ask what their opinion or guidelines are in regards to teams that deliberately hit umpires with pitch.
,,(do not name teams, coaches or this video)
(c) also ask about if they honor other sanctioning bodies penalties, or if it must happen in their events.
(what would be a instance that they would?)
(d) do not interject your own opinion or judgement. allow them to clarify.
(e) Then leave it at that..

PS This is the slow season,,they may have to get back to you, as they may need to discuss amongst board members to come up with a definitive answer.

I like the start out with the compliment part. That's going to ring honest and forthright, when you have already laid the groundwork here, that if they do'nt see things exactly as you do, you are going to call them chicken shite, wish beatings upon their girls and grandkids and publicly call them out as greedy.

It was however, very straight of you to take the phone calls to their bosses and phone calls to their college coaches off the agenda. That and the start with a compliment. That will win them over. fo sure.

Imagine the bad PR softball will get when people find out that no sanctions were levied from this incident. If you don't respect yourself, how can you expect anyone to respect you - you being softball

I would imagine Sweet Mel will turn this into a learning situation so that the next time the catcher just "pretends" to miss the ball instead of leaving her box. Now that's coaching!

He will also instruct his parents to be more like Jerry Springer's audience & simply chant "bean the ump Mel, bean the ump Mel"

Last but not least ASA, PGF, TCS, USSA, etc will do nothing but raise their price per tourney & per game as well as their insurance fees, plus double the game ball fee (to cover all those foul balls) & to imitate the banks will add Junk fees such as grounds fees, chalk fees, water fees, concession stand entrance fee (on top of normal entrance fees because the concession stand will now be behind velvet ropes like some nightclub) & lets not forget about the photo release fee (where everyone signs off on their right to their likeness) while they shoot their reality show that earns the big bucks in syndication & makes cheap shot coach M. Sievers a National star in our world where no one takes responsibility for their actions

The highlighted part is how management or business are done.
Example:
Alwaysimprov
Your contribution and sound honest advise on Heybucket has givin those who play and their parents an important way to look at fastpitch, you have not only stood your ground, but have not waivered when others took the popular way out.
I believe you have made this not only an honorable and respected sport you have made it a better sport
This is why I have come to you to ask,,,should the pitching rubber be moved to 45 feet? ;)

See you get more with a little sugar on top. Nothing more nothing less.

Yeah but Happy Days aired for 6 more seasons after the season in which the jumping of the shark episode occurred!

Besides, we got nothing else juicy to talk about on HB during the slow season. Or do we...? :?

I think at one point Anonlooker was someone that contributed posts with substance.
Those days are apparently long gone. Now we're subject to his "humor" over the humorless.
Thanks for nothing. Really

This is a cheap personal shot like the video. JMO
Make a case, an argument, have fun with it. Cheap personal shots are lame, and look weak.
He and I may disagree on this subject, he can even call me a pitchforker, but we wabbitz stick together.
Anonlooker pull yourself together. ;)
