Fork and Beans

What's on your mind?

Pitch fork crew wants to get excited about something, that would be a good place to start.

Are you freaking kidding. People have been actually calling the college coaches about these players? That's vengeful and mean-spirited. I suppose the players should have called their future college coaches and explained to them first hand what happened and reconciled their actions, maybe, hopefully they did.

It happens in the pros and college it just looks better. I guess I'm a bad person when I don't write the league or call the news when a batter gets intentionally hit or picket their games. I'm sure the umpires will have their own form of justice.....

Oh, I dunno...maybe an appreciable risk of injury, for starters. A bleeding brain? Surely you can't be serious. The ball hit him square in the face, and he didn't even flinch.

Ban the coach for life? Prosecute for assault and battery? Withdraw scholarships? Does anyone here actually believe that there was some sort of conspiracy to cause an injury?? Because without such an intent, the reactions posted in this thread, and the punishments suggested, are way overblown. The scorn the softball community is more than enough to correct this coach’s behavior. Anything beyond that is overkill.

Ladies and germs...I submit to you the one (and probably only) time you will see Master Skarp come anywhere near an admission to being wrong.

Yes, believe it or not, that is exactly what this is/was.

It's good to see you grow.

To them I would say, "Buh-bye! Enjoy the soccer fields!"

You're so lost you don't even realize how foolish that statement is.

Punish them yes. Crucify them no. Kids chasing that dream of playing college ball are usually pushed pretty hard by mommy and daddy. I hope that this bad decision and the pressure of this video doesn't ruin their chances. I've heard stories of what kids do to themselves when the pressure is overwhelming. I pray this won't be the case....

If only the witch hunt brigade had enough maturity to understand the potential consequences of their diatribe. Small minds with big mouths.

If only we could all have the big minds like you we would the world would be a better place.

Anyone who has followed my posts on this board at all knows that I haven't the slightest problem with admitting when I'm wrong, or that I'm entirely human and subject to making mistakes just like anyone else. I offer my opinion and analysis, just like anyone else, to be accepted or rejected, agreed or argued with, just like anyone else's.

That said, what in the holy F are you talking about? Where, exactly, in that post, was there anything resembling a retraction or an admission of error?
