This may be my last post...ever
I took a flu shot like a good Troop...but per my Dr and my body...the strain making the rounds isnt impressed with the vaccine...had probably 10 people at Drs office with me with it...Dr said vaccine isnt effective on it...Im on the will LIVE side of the meter...but I have never had something hurt like this...my back and ribs feel like Ive been ran over by a truck...
Wife brought it home from work...shes an RN (early birthday present for me)
She is getting over it now...she said shes had 2 kids, a hysterectomy and kidney stones and this flu hurt worse than all the others...

Uh oh, my DD just mentioned the other day she wants to be a Nurse.

Hope all is well! I skipped the vaccine and I'm still trying to skip the flu.......

Wait out the storm Pale Rider, it will pass.
Stay comfortable, hot showers frequently, soup with cheyenne powder, and a sipping whiskey, and some wicked fevor dreams.
Oh! and when you drink enough and are tired of tv,,,post. You may stumble onto a classic.

I have NEVER had a Flu shot and never will. I get the Flu every 2 to 3 years, normally. I am sorry you are sick. My gov tells me I need something, I say F. Y.

Well...I may survive...saw where my wife had 'browsed' my life insurance info...and the 'local mature singles pages.
Starts with the back of your neck in a vise, which migrates into a spear in the back of your head...dry cough and cough and cough...my back was cramping...so were my hands and feet...was debating just jumping in pool and let hypothermia take me vs the pain from my ribs and back from coughing...Dr gave me a cough syrup with codone in it...
Dr didn't give me Tamiflu he said it didn't relieve symptoms took maybe 21 hrs off duration, was expensive and 80% of folks who took had the side effects which were nausea, diarrhea and hurling...He said "like you really want that on top of flu?"
I did the 'sweat down' thing...gross but I feel better today...lets see how rest of day goes...
