Dozerdog,
I didn't want to reply to this , but here I am. My daughter plays for AASA and I left the bleacher area in the second inning of the Championship game due to the umpires. I was about to become a 'bad" parent, so I picked up and moved to center field where I watched the remainder of the game. I ran your post by my daughter and she had no idea any 'ceremony" was missed. She stated that the tourney reps. handed each of the girls a pink T-shirt and entended congratulations. I was at a distance, but didn't see any makings of an award ceremony. I look forward to playing OBS each and every time this year. The pitching and coaching is top notch and we will work hard all year to get a hard fought W from OBS.
I'm here to defend the coaching staff at AASA. Not one parent is unhappy/leaving this team. It may be tough coaching, but the girls are better softball players from it. This team is what I was referring to as getting to top 5 in NorCal. They are raw but are going to get a lot better through Fall. Just my thoughts.
