Bone Head High School Coaches - New CIF Rule

by Diamond King » Tue Dec 23, 2008 5:17 pm

Wow. The fumes from the hair dye are getting pretty thnck in here...

By the way, what is the penalty if you move from one school to another? Do you have to sit out a year? Or can you avoid sitting out if you change addresses?

I don't think it's quite as easy as moving from one travel ball team to another...

If you switch schools you have to sit out a year of Varsity, but you can still play if you are a junior or younger. If you move far away, out of your district there is no penalty.

What big important tourn in nov did your player miss?if your kid starts on varsity you won't sound like a little beoch.there are plenty of HS coaches who are better than you.If it dosent work out for you in HS ,you will be the first one to switch schools.

Why are you always beating up on nzane? I dont ever see him trash you. Why so angry?

Ace, don't worry about it. He thinks he is funny. He's just a little man that sits behind a computer screen, trying to act tough. You notice though, he won't give his identity. Figures. I actually think its funny.

In the CIF Southern Section there is a freshmen transfer rule in place. You are allowed to transfer schools once at the end of your freshmen year, without moving and for any reason, and still play varsity the next year. After your freshmen year, you have to actually have a change of residence in order to play varsity. The only other exception, is a hardship waiver, but you have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting one of those approved by CIF.

Is that a new rule? A couple years ago after pitching practice we stopped to watch a HS game at our park... it was JV, but the P was definitely Varsity caliber. When I asked her why she was playing JV she told me she had just transferred and was forced to play JV for one season before playing V.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

It took affect last school year, 07-08. This years freshmen will be the second group that can take advantage of this rule if necessary.

Words like "Beoch", no proper spacing in sentences, "little man behind a computer screen” I don't think so. More like a snotnosed disrespectful kid (Girly)
