Look I think this woman is a little out of it just like everyone else. But I'm not sure the "Organization argument" always holds water. In So Cal, most teams under the same organization operate seperately (except TNL. Maybe a couple others I'm unaware of). If you're on Phil Adishians Corona Angels team, I don't think if the team folds you're going to walk onto Marty's team and rip a player's number.
Same goes for Dan Ristow's Firecrackers. If they disband and Tony picks up one of his seniors, Do you really think he's going to inform one of his stud D1 committed juniors "sorry babe, you're giving up the number". Not gonna happen.
Don't even get me started on the OC Batbusters. Can't see it happening.
This is the crux of the discussion differences. The teams you cited operate under the auspices of being a separate, individual team. The only commonality is the name. The OP said in they were in the same organization. In the Mid-West most organizations operate as a unit for the greater good of everyone. The OP never said if they were in So Cal or not. I don't believe they are becuase she brought up the issue of using the family pole barn for practice. That tells me, cold weather area.
If what you describe is the norm for the SO CAl area then I can see why the "Me first." tenor of the OP came through. However, I don't think that is the case here.
