What would it take for a school outside those conferences to make a serious challenge?

A. - More Money for Better Players .

Q. - NAIA School 20 minutes from home and a 50% ride or D2 school 8 hours from home and a 85% ride? NAIA will cost 20k while D2 will cost 5k. Both schools meet her academic requirements. Is having her close to home the next 4 years worth the extra 40k?

An extra $15k/year would be $60k for 4 years. Travel expenses can eat a lot of that up if you make numerous trips. All else being equal, I'd ship her off.

Who is going to win the WCWS in 2014?

Answer: dirt field is best, turf fields do not belong in fastpitch.
Question: How often do you replace her cleats?

Ever since we switched to Mizuno, seems like at least once a year.

What was the hottest bat you have ever seen? (assuming it wasn't doctored)

Whatever bat that (now Freshman in HS) girl was swinging at the SDSU camp last month. I was told by another dad who was also a coach that the bat she was using was a few years old and was outlawed for being too hot. Sorry I can't remember what it was. :?

I have NEVER seen a ball jump off of a bat like that.

Along those lines...do you think college coaches are aware of these things or do you think they get duped?

No Fastpitchdad05...college coaches never fall for these kinds of tricks nor do they ever regret recruiting girls early because it's easy to tell in the 8th grade how good a girl's going to be when she's 18...duh.

Did it surprise anyone at all how abruptly Fastpitchdad05 killed this previously vibrant and thriving topic?

Not my problem!

How can I raise $6000 to pay for mydaughters travel expenses for this summer? We can't all live in Cali where all the good tournaments are played:)

The $6000 is built into our ridiculous SoCal cost of living so it evens out, but you could do what Uno's org does and pay for their girls' travel by selling really good tri tip at their snack bar.

Did anyone think softball had a snowball's chance in the IOC vote Sunday?
