? regarding 16 and 18u tryouts

In the good ole days as we looked to get our DD on a TB team, it was implied that when joining a 16u/18u team that it was imperative you get on a well known and established team. We were told that in order to get into most of the college exposure tournaments, these teams prepaid well in advance (CO the year prior), which made it difficult for start up teams. Good teams and organizations got onto the good fields, which coaches attend. Whether this thought process was true or not, I am completely confused as to how the process works with todays teams.

Coaches and teams are changing organizations, teams are being added to organizations and it is like a world wind of chaos.

So my question is this. With so many coaches in an organization and teams switching organizations, how will it be determined who gets the good fields and into the good tournaments?

I love how coaches post that they will be attending all the college exposure tournaments, then the weekend of, your playing a friendly because they couldn't get in.

For 16's and 18's who are the coaches and teams to pursue?

The majority of the time the spots in major events stay w/ the Head Coaches. You are placed on the good fields by your teams history (even when you move) The event coordinators and more importantly the college coaches know who is good year in and year out and who they want to do business with. They both want the best product.... Call ahead... Ask the coaches questions. The coaches know what events they are confirmed in (in general).
