Well Norcalballer you are wrong; Storm has a VERY GOOD team. They most certainly deserve PGF.

Yo, hands, no one said they didn't have a good team, it was simply noted that the Storm organization chose to use it's free berth (for hosting the qualifier) to send the 12u team to Nationals, instead of the 16's or 18's. That said, baller is correct in that it was an "invite" and not "earned" at a qualifier.

My point exactly , I think Storm is a good team. Lots of good teams with invites vs. berths. Good luck to all of the nar cal teams that will travel in the next few weeks

You are correct, I apologize I was thinking the Early Bird Qualifier was a National Qualifier and they got it there. I was wrong it was a Regional Qualifier and they didn't even play in it. So many games and tourney since March my memory is going.

I just did a ranking 10 days ago. I probably won't do one until after PGF/ASA/Western Nationals to finalize the year.

PGF Nationals Pool Play Brackets have been posted. The Nor Cal teams are split up pretty good. 2 pools do not have Nor Cal teams in them. To bad those pools didn't get a Nor Cal team they would have been split across the board.

Pretty sure that is KG French. The 01 KG team doesn't have a Henderson to call and beg for a spot .

I would think after they qualified for Nationals and started looking at the fact that the majority of the 00 teams who had planned to go to Oregon were now heading south to PGF they jumped out of Westerns.

As a young team in the age group ASA Westerns makes sense. (If I remember correct) As a first year team if you place high enough at Westerns (I think top 2) you get an automatic berth for ASA Nationals the following year. I do not believe as a 2nd year team that berth goes up with you to the next age group, so unless it is pretty close like this year or you are just going to go, Westerns does not make a lot of sense as a 2nd year team.
