That's assuming the following

1) healthcare represents 1/6 the economy

2) Obamacare would take over 100% of healthcare(which it would not)

Current medicare/caid is already 5% of GDP

Even if true it is not a

dramatic wholesale changes to the fabric of our Republic.

Healthcare is a major issue and will become a bigger issue going forward. The country needs to figure out how to pay for it and how to best handle it. Obamcare is a response to that need. I think it was(and is) the wrong one. Not because I fear a Governemnt takeover etc, but because it was not well thought out, shoved through congress without real debate or negotiation, did not address most of the issues, and appears will wind up costing us more. I think the intent was good natured, but terribly executed. IMO There are examples of government/private health systems that work much better than ours and at a much lower cost(Germany/Japan) the Canadian govt system is decent(but for a far smaller population)


I think the thing all could agree was that the previous/current system was not working

I don't think everything is great, but also do not think we are on the brink of an Apocalypse. I work in the financial services and see first hand what people are going through. I do not agree with most(if any) of Oboma's policies, I just feel the need to demonize him and press the panic button just because I have different views.

Our health system had serious problems- ranked last in just about every category and the most expensive to boot. Obamacare actully has already maneged to drive up costs by what it has done to companies that were already providing healthcare to their employees(pretty dumb)

I looked in the mirror this morning and this is what I saw

A clean-cut(almost Army reg haircut) with way too less hair and too much gray in a white button-down shirt wearing a very nice tie & suit preparing to leave for his job at a Bank.

I saw a life-long Republican who has voted for every Republican Presidential candidate since he has been elegible to vote.

I saw a pro-business fiscal conservative who believes in lower taxes and more streamlined regulations that focus on rule of law and not there to be punitive or obstructive

I saw a 14 year(active,NG & IRR) Army Infantry Officer who believes in a strong military

I saw someone who supports the second ammendment and has opposed the Assult Weapons Ban

I saw someone that lives in one of the most conservative towns in the Northeast(Republican Majority and there are more Independents than Democrats) that boasts more houses of worship per person than just about any place in the country

I saw someone who owns several rental properties and truly knows the meaning of taxes(property taxes in this part of the country are unreal)



I guess in your eyes anyone that does not have a three year supply of ammo and food, does not think Obama is some kind of Muslim/Communist Manchurian Candidate and that all change is a threat must be a liberal

I really find it troubling having a Granola* from California calling me(from Fairfield County, CT) a RINO?

*my apologies to my California friends and offense inteneded. It's just a phrase one of my Drill Sgts used with a soldier from California "Your a G**Damn Granola-only two things come from California, fruits and nuts!"- pretty sure they won't be able to use that one anymore
