Hmmm.. hardly even close to a worst call, and who knows, maybe even a good call if it hit outside the line.
In Softball there are 2 lines that run down to left and right from home plate. These are called foul lines. If a ball is hit in the air past 1B and hits any part of the line the ball is fair. The umpire admitted he saw the chalk fly. "He saw the ball hit the line"
Why are they called foul lines- if the ball is fair when it hits it? Fair Lines?
Why are they called foul poles -if the ball is fair if it hits it? Fair Poles?
