Already checked www.tournamentasa.com. No big surprise the results are not there.

Not sure that is correct. It looks like it was Jets over Cal Thunder in the Losers Bracket, and Jets then beat Xtreme-Nestor twice for the ship.

Incorrect... Thunder lost to Jets in the winners bracket 3-2 and then lost to Powersurge in losers bracket in tiebreaker.

Third place went to Batbusters-Mauga. First and Second was being played between Extreme-Nester and SoCal Jets.
Socal Jets were undefeated and EN had one loss. Don't know the results of those final game(s). EN needed to beat Jets twice to win.

There's no longer a reason to not play out the bracket since the number of teams has dropped so low. There were only 26 teams at 14U State according to the website.

And I believe ASA was awarding 12 berths to ASA Nats out of those 26 teams. That on the heels of a NQ that I believe gave out 3 berths from a tournament of 8 teams. So nearly half of the teams that played in those 2 ASA tournaments got berths to ASA.

Compare those numbers to this weekend's So Cal PGF qualifier that has 48 teams playing for 4 berths, plus about 10 or so teams that could not get in to the qualifier. This sounds like the ASA states from about 5 or 6 years ago when there were something like 50 or more teams playing for 3 berths to ASA Nats.

There were 10 berths left for State since SoCal awarded 2 of their 12 berths at the Intensity NQ. I wonder if they'll find takers for all them this year...

I agree it is very similar to SoCal ASA before 2009 when the number of berths quadrupled from 3 to 12. It's also why teams now chase PGF berths like they did for ASA back then.
