Who are the top 12U teams in IN for 2012-2013?

by river rat » Sun May 26, 2013 8:36 pm

Results from the Wasco Diamonds Tournament: 1st-Plainfield Twisters Black 2nd- Aftermath 3rd-Wasco Diamonds 2000 4th-Downers Grove Outlaws 2000 5th Tie-Wasco Diamonds 2001/Michiana Mystique. Aftermath had some close exciting wins over Downers Grove 2000 and two over Wasco Diamonds 2000, but fell short to Plainfield Twisters Black. Great weekend weather and great facility. highly recommend it to other teams in the coming years.

Took me a while to find results and put this together. Not to mention stop laughing. But, see if you can follow:

- Indy Crush 2000 pretty much beats up all the 12s in the Indy area.
- Indy Crush beats CP Bulldogs 2000 in a game that started out 12-0 after 1 inning. Granted CP mounted a comeback. But I think IC backed off.
- Indy Crush beats NWI Whitesox in Elgin
- Wasco Diamonds beats Indy Crush twice in Elgin
- Aftermath beats Wasco Diamonds twice at their own tournament

Does that make Aftermath the GoldElite of 12u in Indiana?

I still want to see these teams in the same tournament:
Indy Crush 2000
IN Gators '00
IN Gators '01 (where have they been?)
Aftermath
CP Bulldogs 2000
NWI Whitesox '00 and '01
Indy Diamond Chix

Gold Elite,

I'll expand on your thoughts

- Indy Crush 2000 pretty much beats up all the 12s in the Indy area. and some 14's

Gators 01 won tourney in Ohio 3 weeks ago
Gators 2000 have been playing 14u USFA

Crush, Gators 01, both sox teams, cp 2000 will all be in Jasper this weekend for Diamonds of the South.

Should be a good gauge on the question!

spectator14, I was making a play on the Transitive Property of Subsets Theorem in such a manner as to evoke laughter as opposed to actual rational thought. Now my head is spinning.

But expanding further on your thoughts:

- Indy Crush 2000 beats up on several 14u teams
- Was that a USSSA tourney in Ohio?
- How have Gators '00 and Magic Gold performed in 14s?
- And why in the hell is Gators 2000 playing in Center Grove this weekend as opposed to Jasper?

turnandlook, it took me a while to "get" your comment. But now that I do, I am laughing. Good one!
Just curious as to who you think is overrated.

Now thats funny!!

GoldElite, overrated may be the wrong word but it gets attention. I just think there is a handfull of some other teams in the State that can compete with a few teams considered to be on top of the charts. Or maybe Im just saying that some of these "teams" (in place of body) are on a possible angle of repose. (huh, huh, come on gimme some) :D :D :D

Yes, I am sure there are teams out there "under the radar". Perhaps the dads don't use the "webbernet" so they can't get on here and boast!

I think there are times when the teams considered "the best" can be beaten. But I also believe the "best teams" won't be beaten consistently by the others.

I also believe some of the teams that were hovering just above average have probably improved substantially over the past few months. I think the competition is much closer now than in the Fall.

The next few weekends look pretty big for several of the 12s getting together at different tournaments. Let's see who is on top early July.

You gotta find the right bait if you're gonna go trophy hunting in that crowd.

Any updates on the big 5 down in Jasper?
Indy Crush 2000
CP Bulldogs 2000
NWI Whitesox 2000
NWI Whitesox 2001
