Matt Kemp is a flat-out good guy

Off topic. Home for jokes and other misc. stuff.
Keep it reasonable.

Matt Kemp may be struggling at the plate so far this season, but off the field he is all class. See what he does for a teenage fan battling cancer.

Seems there are some very big hearts in the Bigs - NBA, NFL, Baseball, a lot of that goes on behind the scenes. Not very public sometimes, the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing type of thing. I've even seen news media people involved with these causes and not going for the publicity. There's good people out there.

So was one of the creepiest people I have ever seen - Michael Jackson, believe it or not. When we lived in a small town in Arizona, a young boy was dying in our hospital. Somehow someone knew how to get in touch with his people and he personally called this young boy almost daily until the very end, praying with him, just talking to him. And the people we knew , knew of several other cases - no publicity - no 'look at me' just trying to make someone's last days a little better.

I have yet to see any mention of this in the news, I first saw it on facebook before here, it had about 1000 hits, it is up to 600,000 in less than a day. Maybe if Kemp was gay, this would get traction from the media and a call from the prez.
Btw, this happened in SF, very cool.
