Another scoring question

What's on your mind?

High school ball.

When a catcher picks a runner off, say at first base, is this a caught stealing? If not, how is it scored?

Please include a reference if possible.

When a catcher picks off a runner at a base, it's scored as a Pick Off. It's a separate category and would NOT count as a Caught Stealing.

Not sure what ruleset your HS uses, but Section 18 of the following NCAA scoring guide discusses Pick Offs:

Thanks for the information. We are in Texas which uses federation rules.
