College Contact Information

My DD is struggling trying to find contact info for many of the college coaches. We have gone to each school sight and have spent hours researching, but some emails we just can't find. Is there a sight or a source that can help us in this area? Any information would be appreciated.

My DD & I had this same problem last year, many schools have no contact numbers/emails just camp signups or nothing. There are several paysites (see the Captian U thread ) that have links & there's a new site RTA (Real Time Athletes) that my DD was in the Pilot program this past fall while playing for the Combat Panthers 18's (the head coach is the silent partner) since it's a Firecracker related thing it'll have the usual love/hate relationship with those on this board. They now have 11,000 on it & it's currently free (supposedly thru the summer) We found it to be a great tool. Now the only hitch will be your DD's team needs to be registered & the coach will have to "approve" you DD before she can get to the stage of contacts. Good luck

Call the athletic department at the schools that do not have an email listed. Ask office assistant who answers the phone if he/she can please give you the email address of the softball coach.

Not too long ago, there was a guy here on HB who had put together a list of all D-1 softball contacts. I think he was charging a nominal fee to send it out. Hopefully either he or one of the HB moderators will respond to this post with that info.

One piece of advice: Don't necessarily only send to the head softball coach. Typically one of the assistants is the Recruiting Coordinator. That coach will a) be a better choice to start with since they're the first line of recruiting and b) they probably get far fewer emails than the head coach, meaning a greater chance your email will actually be seen. If Recruiting Coordinator isn't listed anywhere in the Bio, it's often the same person handling the Camp Registration, so you can usually find their contact info on the Camp flyers. Good luck.

I found that if you looked for the Athletic Department Directory, everything you need is there. Number, e-mail, fax, address, and assistants.

I paid for an app on my Iphone that is called Softball-U or Softball University...I paid a couple bucks for it and it has every college from D1-D3 in alphabetical order tabbed out.
