Thanks and my dd is not on the Crackers but honestly they deserve credit. Actually all teams work hard and the girls show up to play and deserve credit but with a big win like that we know how hard it is to play a complete day with 12 year olds. Fortunately LOL my dd is on one of the top teams so we should see each other plenty this year. Good luck to all this weekend and in the next few and then hopefully all of us can give these girls a much needed break and get ready for the real season.

So true this is the fun of it, I was so bored the last few weeks with not much going on here.

First, this is all nonsense to rank teams this early. But, since this is all in "fun" I will give my opinion. Based upon Brackets criteria that to be ranked an A team you have to have the ability to beat all other A ranked teams in the same tournament, I think there are six teams that can do it: Firecrackers, PowerSurge, CA'96, CA Rebels, Jynx and OC BB 96. We are going to see tournament losses back and forth between these teams for the next seven months and players will move from team to team I think. As far as top 10, you can add CA97, BB 97 snow, CA Thunder, I haven't seen the AA teams play year to determine who else could be top 10 yet.

You have to give the Firecrackers the #1 spot at this point in time though, at least until PowerSurge is healthy. CA'96 like you said had a lot of heart in the latter part of the season, starting from States on, but during this Winter season, they have had numerous injuries to catchers, pitchers, infielders and outfielders and are not 100% yet. We have a ways to go to get back to form, still think we are top 6 definately and when we break through, will be very strong.

As far as having '95 players, we NEVER have had older girls play for us. #00 is a LATE 96 B-day, still 11 yrs old but she was on the '95 Smith team National Champs last year and that might be the confusion. Firecrackers are 96, however, I do have doubts about the BB Marquez team being all 96 at the tournament. I heard they were playing with at least two 95 girls this past weekend, but I do not know for sure.

Thanks for clearing that up on the CA96 & Firecrackers. Again it is what I heard over the weekend at the TC tournament. Still think the SFS Rebels have a few as this is what they told our coach.

6. The fields– No FENCES make the games different.
7. Rumors of 95 players on any teams
8. Constant chatter about teams not performing because of injuries – when does a team not have injuries? The just wait till they are healthy chat is funny to me.
