Coaches Showing "No Class"

by FUGEDABOUTIT » Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:12 pm

Why are so many coaches losing their cool in games, a total loss of RESPECT for their players and the sport? When a coach gets upset at another team because they just got out played and out coached on the field, why do they embarrass their players and start fights with parents or not have a team come out and shake hands with a team. If you are mad at another coach you should always come out and let the girls shake hands with the other team. It is not the girls fault you lost your cool.

I saw 2 games in 14U this weekend is Las Vegas where this happened.

The USA Athletics (Perez) did not have his players come out and shake the hands of the Nemesis players after he lost the game on Saturday. It was the last inning in game. The coach got mad because they tried to steal 2nd and she got picked like a Grape at 2nd. The top half of the inning was over. There was 3 minutes left in the game Nemesis was the home team and were up 3-1. There was no way they would get a chance for another at bat. The first batter got out. Now with less than a minute to play, Batter #2 comes up and she has to tie her shoe. The coach got mad, pulled his team off the field and game over. He yelled at all his girls to get in the dugout. Nemesis gave them a cheer and headed to shake hands. The coach yelled “we are not shaking their hands get in the dugout”. The coaches and players never came out. The Nemesis girls yelled to them good game and they left the field.

Such a classless act by Coach Perez to do that to his Girls and the Nemesis Girls, it was a very good game and to not let the girls shake hands after that game was Ridiculous. Why would let your DD play for someone like that? There are no excuses to do that to the girls.

Then come to find out, that the other coach on the team came up to a Nemesis female parent in the parking lot after the game and started talking trash to her about her team. He is lucky his head did not hit the concrete.

What a bunch of KNUCKLE HEADS the coaches from USA Athletics Perez are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd was a Coach From Las Vegas Blast who got so mad after his team lost the game Saturday night that he came to the back stop and started arguing with the other teams parents and told them to F*** off. Then he started to take his sweatshirt off and ran back to the dugout to get off the field and try to fight the other parents in the stands, all a long as his players are watching this happen. His DD had to see it as well. Way to represent your team and Organization!!!

How embarrassing to these organizations that these types of things happen. It is suppose to be about the girls and Sportsmanship. Not about a coach’s ego!!!!!!!!!!!

Nemesis also played LV Blast Sat night, so I'm guessing OP is with them. Do their fans do something (e.g. a chant) that gets under the skin of opponents?

Brings back memories of the Cal Rebels '96 four years ago... :o

Any chance the Las Vegas Blast coach was playing against Nemesis?

Was this a elimination game or pool play, killing time in a pool play game when you the one up to bat with three mins left in a bracket game ok, but if this was a drop dead pool play game, that shows no confidence in your team to finish a meaningless pool play game....

Ok just a small opinion or simply a suggestion. You may want to think twice about posting and letting the whole softball world know that u had not 1 but 2 small altercations with 2 different teams in 1 day. Maybe people may figure out that it is not your opponent hat has the problem but in fact the nemisis team itself that is the issue. My daughter has ben playing 2 years in travelball and in those 2 years had 2 issues with Adrian poncs team and nemisis 99 team. Just thought I would shed some light on the subject

According to St. Paddy's Day Blast 14U, it was a pool game.

The final score was 2-1 Nemiesis. Its funny to me that they are blasting other teams! I played in one of there friendlies and they still do the old shoelace move. Hope to play them soon! lol

Two sides is always good but the main man of Nemesis is the king of stalling

Stalling must be an organization strategy!

It is an organizational thing. We played their 12U Blue team in the Presidents Day tourney in Temecula a couple weeks ago and they pulled the change the catcher, time out to talk to his dugout in a pool play game. We got the last laugh though when we knocked out their Gold team the next day!
