What about TCGA or MAX Preps Polls?

TGCA is a laughable joke by a ridiculous individual posing as a journalist. He's getting better at it though. It only took him half a season to get the alignments correct. Hell of a researcher.

Austin/Centex roundup: Round one goes to Westlake over Bowie -- 10-7. Westlake has a legit claim to the area's top 5A team at this point. Round Rock is the other contender for the title of the area's best, but these two won't meet unless they survive until the later rounds of the playoffs. Bowie is looking more and more like an also ran, despite some nice wins at Sienna/Mo City tourney recently. Cedar Ridge and Lake Travis don't appear to be serious contenders either (much to my disappointment). Nobody else in 5A is really in the discussion. Question is: can the Lake and the Rock translate Centex success into playoff success against region II schools outside the Austin area? Stay tuned.

All the teams should start rounding into form. The real contenders will show why they are contenders and the others will fall away.
I know it is not the "bucket way" but we should try to foscus on the teams and not necessarily the individual players. These girls have worked too hard to help get their teams where they are today. Lets support all of them.

Why don't y'all just let the kids play and quit worring about who's gonna win state. It's HS ball. Get a grip. You sound like a bunch of 10u rec parents.

Lighten up folks..you're gonna drive your kids crazy...sheesh

I remember HS ball as being all about fun and growing up. I guess the good old days are gone.

sad

Hey rodehard...who's playing your kid or you through your kid?
You are one of "those" parents that we all laugh aabout on the way home from the game.

I guarantee you that if your kid read these post they would embarrassed beyond belief.

If you think of HS ball as being "competitive" then you just proved that you are acting like a 10u rec parent. HS ball is what it is....let them have some fun dude and save the other crap for Travel ball.

Just curious, what do you act like at your kids travel games?

You are sure making a lot of assumptions about people based on a couple of comments. Hopefully, you have never sat on a jury.

Do you think players step on a field and turn off their competitive instincts. You believe that it is not important to them to win the game, to beat their rival, to win district, to make the playoffs, to make state and to possible win the state title?

My daughter told me that you probably never competed in your life!

I told her not to make assumptions about other people based on a couple of silly comments.

Good luck in high school ball.

I would assume kids that play on bad hs teams dont care and are there just for the fun of it and hopefully make all-district. But others that are on competitive teams and will make playoffs, they do care.
I will assume your kid is or was on a sucky hs team and your still pissed because you froze your butt off in the feb and march games just for nothing. JMO
