Adidas Futures program folds

My apologies if this is old news that has already been discussed. There were a lot of things they should have done differently IMO, but I hate to see any program end that promotes the sport.

Maybe if all the coach's didn't abuse it . Every one used it to help there own cause.

It was supposed to be a way for kids to get seen but unfortunately I think many of the coaches just used it as a way to show their own TB teams or force kids to join their teams to go to the event.

True, a couple years ago, coach invited DD to go with his team, no strings attached at first, but then he wanted her to quit her team and join his as a condition of going to Adidas. She respectfully said, no thanks and did not go.

True.

Just look at the coaches that were "awarded" teams. I really got a new option of what I thought were quality programs. They may win games. I don't want my kid manipulated that way.

Also, some of their locations and game times were.....interesting. Its what a lot of people remember.
