Thats what I heard. It would have been good if Pearland and Cy Fair would have played each other. From what I heard those two and Oak Ridge were the most dominate teams this weekend. We'll see how it goes next weekend in Missouri City. It is tough to argue with my buddy, who has a dd on Pearland, that when #1 is on the mound, they are pretty darn invincible. Is that true?

That is very true at this time of the year. If the other teams start catching up with her fastball and putting pressure on her, they can light a fast ball pitcher up. I don't know if kids at this level can adjust to her fastball. Time will tell.
As for now they look to be the team to beat in 5A.

Kind of looks like you're saying all she has is a fastball. Is that true?

Well 08 you should know. Whatever you say she throwing, hope she continues doing it. Pearland will do well as long as she is on the mound and throwing well.

You must be from Pearland and may even be one of the chosen ones. I didn't say anything about what she throws, I just said she doesn't throw a fastball, but the coaches thinks she should. I bet there isn't one Div 1 pitcher that still throws a fastball. If I were coaching her, I would let her throw what she wants and call her own game.

One of our parents had a hand radar. She was crusing and relaxed at 62 and reached 66 when she needed the extra gas. Very impressive to see.

No, I am not one of "the chosen few" and I am not trying to argue on what she throws or doesn't throw. I have alot of respect for her and what she brings to the game. She is one of the top pitchers in the State (probably in the Nation). 62 to 66 is not bad, for not throwing a fast ball.
I am glad you are not coaching her. She is too young to have the respondibility of calling her own pitches. She is still developing and learning to pitch.

She struck out 16 and 15 hitters during wins over Sterling (TX) and Angleton (TX), respectively, and was 3-for-3 at the dish with two HR's and five RBI in a 7-0 win over Deer Park (TX). Thanks for posting Spazsdad!!!
