Pearland went 6 - 0. Go Lady O's!!!!! Played a very GOOD LaGrange team and was surprised to find out they are 3A. They are going to kick some butt.

Who won the Bryan / College Station tournament?

Alvin 4 Lewisville 3

5th & 6th place:
Deer park 7 Southlake Carroll 2

7th & 8th place:

Congrats to Pearland. Looks like they are steam rolling, like alot of people felt they would do. With great Pitching and Powerful hitting they will be the #1 contender to win State this year. The if factors will be injuries and coaching(haven't heard much this year about that). See how thats goes.

Congrats to Burleson in their win at Bryan. Heard and read that, there was alot of stiff competition at that event.

With Alvin and Deer Park also heard, as Txfastptchcoach did, that there appeared to be some bad blood between the 2 coaches, and there were some verbal exchanges between the 2. Anybody have and comments on that??

Yes but none off #1 pitcher. She didn't pitch. Kudos to coach for throwing the other two in the fire to try and figure out who is going to be her #2.

Plocheck is their ace? Right? Alvin can't be counted out just yet, they beat 3 solid teams Plano east, Deer Park and Lewisville. Interested to see the first match up against Pearland

Not counting Alvin out at all. With Bean on the Hill they are capible of beating anyone. I thought they had lost more than they did. Congrats to Alvin on Great showing in Bryan/College Station. If memory serves me correctly she shut y'all down last year in the playoffs??? Correct???

Heard Alvin hit 3 home runs vs Deer Park

Yes the Young Pitchers made mistakes and left the ball out over the plate with a 17 mph tailwind, nothing much for the balls to do but go out. They are young, but talented and the coach will let them get the experience they need to settle down and be very, very good pitchers. Look for them to be tougher and tougher as the year goes along.
The Alvin starter also got touched for a homer late in the game. Same mistake the Deer pitchers made. You do not leave the pitch up and out over the plate against any of these good hitters. They will hit the ball very hard on you.
The Alvin pitcher kept the Deer hitters off balance for most of the game. She is very talented. Do not know what Alvin has behind her but she will need help for Alvin to survive.
