Not sure why you came on here picking on a couple teams, but I'll clarify. I was not suggesting that either of those two teams (or any of those I mentioned) are headed to state. You're right, Midlothian is probably the weakest of those I mentioned and I considered not naming them, but they do have a quality staff and several DI players/prospects. SGP as you mentioned has a pitcher. That can take teams a lot farther than apparently you are aware of. I notice you didn't pick on Lufkin. They graduated a lot and one might say all they have is a pitcher. Should I not have mentioned them either?

Look, my point was not to create an open forum to bash teams that you or anyone else thinks are no good. My point was that the alignment changes make what will probably be the end result a lot different than I think many expect.

For my own clarification, are you saying SGP has no shot at coming out of Region 1 or are you just mad at me because I didn't mention Mansfield?

Does your silence confirm that you do not think South Grand Prairie is better than Mansfield? By not saying anything, are you really saying that Mansfield is going to light up SGP's #1? That's how I'm taking it. Just making sure.

Not sure how midlo got on it. either way, the season starts soon and we will see how it ends up. There have been a lot of kids that graduated last year. so we will see who had a better incoming freshman class or has worked some jv kids into good replacements.

My opinion for 7-5A
1. SGP
2. Timberview
3. Mansfield
4. Midlothian
5. Grand Prairie
6.Duncanville
7.Cedar Hill
8. Desot

Just
Here is a previous post on where I thought step and Mansfield would end up. So my silence does not confirm anything.

Notice where Cedar Hill is on my list...

I guess a previous post of mine did not make it on here. I said someone from the same district as sgp/mansfield beat lufkin in southlake last year. That is all I know of them. I have never seen them play or know any of the kids there. But hey, maybe they will make it to state. Have I answered your questions yet JUST.....

Is that true? If so, what happened?
Also see where Pearland's stud IF made the first and second team in the Chronicle and their #1 pitcher not even mentioned?
How does that happen?

I heard this is your first rodeo. Is that true?

(You think possibly if the #1 played elsewhere that would make a difference?)

Perhaps the Chronicle made the point that none of those pitchers have done enough to earn the AGH recognition. Soph's and Freshmen really have a tough hurdle to leap based on past awards as you noted.

Spazsdad wrote:Is that a preseason first and second team? If so isn't the #1 a Freshman so what would they base it on since she hasn't played HS.

Edit.
Just looked at the list and out of both teams there is only me Soph and no Freshman at all so not surprising.

Where is this list??? Please send link. Thanks in advance, can seem to find it on Chronicle site.

Sorry, I meant if she played with an organization other than AE. Who do you think provides data for these lists? You didn't actually think that Verdejo is going around watching HS softball all pre-season did you?

Looks like the rain may mess with the start of the softball season. Hopefully some games will get played this week. Would be great to see how some the ranked and some of the non-ranked teams fare.

Any thoughts on the upcoming Bryan Tournment ??? Several Pretty good teams will be there.
