Who pitched for each team????

If it was a Bean/Bouvier match up that's understandable. Two VERY good pitcher's on the mound. I was going to reserve myself from saying this but oh well; If Big Red gets it going like she was before injury watch out because she is HANDS down one of the better pitcher's in the Houston area PERIOD!!!! Just ask around. Great kid that has been thru so much the past 2 years. I can tell you this much; she has been working her tail off rehabing so when Doctor released her she would be ready to go.

Agree, If Bouvier is back to pre-injury form (and I hope she is), she will be tough and may put Sante Fe back on top again.

Both Santa Fe pitchers pitched, but Alvin couldn't hit either of them. They did some situational things after about the 3rd inning, like starting with a runner on 2nd and then 1st and 3rd. Bean did pitch for Alvin, she is a good pitcher but I don't even recall a hard hit ball. Bouvier looked ok, didn't have the velocity back that she had pre-injury, I am sure it will get there.

Everyone roots for the local team so I predict 1 Central Texas team (or possibly STX) and 1 DFW team and 2 ETX/Houston teams will be in the final 4. Some talented teams that lost 1 or 2 non-key players are missing from the initial rankings but it is better to be in the final rankings than the pre-season rankings.

Anybody know how Tomball is looking in the early going?

Tomball added a new high school and it dwindled the talent of what was always high level competition and deep playoff threats. Tomball Memorial is the new school and they don't have many select ball players on that side of town. Tomball HS is still there and now Tomball Memorial and Tomball HS are both 4A. Tomball HS has a D1 commit and another talented player that will commit D1 and some other talented select ball players, but they lost their starting pitcher that started all the games last year to graduation. I don't think they have backup. If they can get the hits to overcome their pitching they will be a threat. They graduated a heck of alot of seniors from last year that were their star hitters. Only 2 that are left were starters last year. They will need to step up and lead the team and I think they can do it on the offense side of the game.

Anyone know what 4a districts will be strong? Is there an official district final standing projection list?

Tomball Memorial will surprise some people this year. They have a D1 commit also. I think they have 8 select players this year. Will be fun to see how it all plays out.

I hope both tomball schools do well. Good to hear they have more talent than I thought at Tomball Memorial. What school is the D1 commit going to? I have not heard that. Tomball has one going to ULL/nationally ranked and the other has been scouted by some big schools. Sure to see her go somewhere big. Sad to see the school split and dwindled such great talent.
