Fusion>>>WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE FUSION TEAMS?

by behindtheplate » Wed Nov 19, 2008 6:46 am

First I see a post about drinking in the parking lot and then that the 14U team broke up and branched off. Now I am hearing that the 16U team has players leaving with some heading to the Glory Naudin team and others looking for new teams. What is going on here?

Let's see, I think this is what is happening.

TMI- On Saturday to have a clinic with Dr Sherry Werner and Texas Ranger's Orth Dr Mester.

Velocity traning-The girls have the opportunity to train with Velocity this winter, with classes especially designed for the softball athlete.

College Camps-ULL Ragin Cajun and Fusion Gold Hitting Clinic, Coach Lotief will be coming to the Texas Fusion indoor cages to give a camp.

We are a very proud organization and have alot to look forward to. There are always going to be people Jealous of where we are and where we've been and where were going. There are also going to be volture coaches out there trying to sway girls away. The bottom line is there is not a better or a more caring organization developing their own future Gold players within.

Just an FYI -

MHO is not Slade Maloney. MHO is obviously someone associated with our program, and I do agree with most of what he/she said. But as I had previously mentioned, I am not going to respond to people that do not state who they are, unless you are using your real name and stating your affiliation then there will be no discussion with me.

MHO, are you saying that your coaches don't use the same tatics that every other coach out there does. I am sure your coaches are on the phone daily looking to bring in new talent. It is no different than any other program. Players and parents don't just leave if they are happy.

Most of them have been playing this game long enough to know which coaches are filling them with BS, and which one continually get things done.

Not sure which 16U players would be looking to leave. I would have say though that if any of them do leave it would have to be because there is something wrong within the organization. Judging by the fall they probably know that they are not where they need to be in order to qualify for Nationals.

Why did your great young coach (MORK) quit if all is well in FusionLand?

I never once seen a post on here crying about losing players to the Fusion program. Let get real, without someone contacting players from the Elite, Glory, and BB teams you would of never had a chance for success. Now that some of players apparently want to leave you want to start throwing names out. I am sure that it is not possible that any of these players could want leave because they lost their coach, or numerous other things.

As far as what is going on in Glory land, who knows maybe they are losing players as well, but just judging by what I saw and heard around the ballparks this fall the Naudin team will definitely be a threat to any team in the State. I am sure if they have the oppurtunity to add more talent to this already talented team, he will. Any coach would do the same.

Nobody leaves a team, unless they feel there is a better oppurtunity to be successful else where.

What do you mean by successful?

Blind Squirrel, I would believe that at this level most of the girls are playing softball with the goal of playing college balls some day. In this case does one team/organization give you a better chance of obtaining these goals.

As a parent of a player who aspires to the above I want my daughter to have the oppurtunity to play for a team/organization that will take interest in helping her acheive her goals. I know that just because you play for one of these organizations doesn't mean that it will automatically happen, the player and parents have got to do their part as well.

But to answer your question to me in this case successful, would be finding the right team that will put your player in the best situation to help her reach her goals. Weather that is playing at Nationals, going to the Top Showcase tournament, having the best coaches, more playing time, etc. It is up to each player and family to decide what successful means to them.

I wasn't trying to say that one organization is more successful than the other, it is up to each family to decide which one gives their player the best oppurtunity.
