What is this? Open ballot polling? LOL That's not how polling works nor is it how a valid ranking works.

Look, if you want to continue to encourage Brackey to give us a new ranking every 30 minutes, that's fine, but please don't try to undermine his valid efforts by creating a psuedo-poll that is really a popularity contest. (Parents get a ballot?! lol) Brackey's ranking is a fun part of this whole scene and it is fun because he seems to take it seriously, but not too seriously. Frankly, I hope he waits until the Fall season is over to release another one.

I'm not participating, but I always enjoy the reading and opinions, so I opened your attachment to see how you were putting this together. In retrospect, that was a bad decision, because it got me thinking....which is probably never good. Anyway, I'm curious as to how you selected the 23 teams you pre-populated onto your ranking form? Are you only using teams from specific tournaments? Are you only including teams from certain areas of OC and IE and not all of SoCal?

Just a suggestion, you may want to make sure you include some pretty good teams if you really are trying to create good reading and debate. Any team that did fairly well last summer, as the younger 12u team, is quite capable of competing with the others even if they have 1 bad tournament in the fall, that happens. Jynx 00, SoCal Pumas, Venom 00, Panthers? Those are teams that shouldn't need a "write in" for a 12u ranking ballot (which in of itself is pretty crazy unless Bracky is doing it...fun reading, but pretty crazy). SD Aztecs 2000 should be there as well. Jeremy has proven his teams will put in the work and be ready to compete when it matters.

Thank you for the comment. I put down the teams that I have seen and that others have told me about. I am sure there are teams that I missed which is why I asked for other input(write ins).

As to Brackey, I have been in communication with him and he is very supportive of this poll. He has not been able to see many games this Fall in the younger Div. & he plans to endorse the Wildcat Poll when completed. As a Bracky's teams to watch

Usually there is already a poll out which is basically a teams to watch at this point of the year. So to all the haters who decided to try and squash my efforts and tell me wait for a Brackey poll. You might just be waiting for a long time as I am guessing his attention will be more on the 16 & 18u Div. this year? Just a guess.

Well, first of all I wasn't intending to be a hater, so if it came across that way, I am sorry. Second I was definitely trying to "squash" your efforts because I like the rankings and I didn't want there to suddenly be three or four of them popping up. If Brackey has truely relinquished his post then you go for it. Third, since it is now your poll/ranking, you will conduct it however you want. Please though realize that a valid poll is not a popular vote. A coaches poll, though still problematic, holds more water. I know that you will be very upfront about the methods you use to come to your conclusions and that will give us all the information we need to attribute credibility.

Thank you, though I don't think it ever did, to her or even you. Meanwhile once my pathetic, ill-information was corrected, I apologized. You might have missed that part.
