Heybucket, Why no love for ASA

What's on your mind?

by thecloser02 » Fri Sep 21, 2012 7:44 am

Numeruno I have seen you post many times that you liked all the ASA nationals that you went to and that you have nothing against ASA. But I just don't see the same love that you give ASA like you do PGF and Triple Crown. What's up with that?

ASA is like the Post Office- generally gets things done etc- rarely inspires excitement from anyone

TCS & PGF are like Fed Ex & UPS--- you may pay a little more, but you get what you pay for

I like it too.

I contacted So Cal ASA a long time ago, I think Mike Schutt sp??? Told them to send me their logo and they should advertise on Heybucket, maybe get someone to answer questions. All I was told is that they will send the email to the person in charge of that. I never heard back.

I was sitting down at the ASA thanksgiving tourney in Chino last year right next to the ASA booth. I had my big ears wide open. There were people walking around wearing heybucket shirts.
I heard the people in the ASA booth talking a bunch of Sh*t about heybucket, it was funny. I really don't think anything they said were lies either.

ASA I don't hate you, I loved traveling and going to ASA nationals.
You guys do a great job.
Come join the heybucket party but bring your thick skin, you'll need it, just like we all do on here at times :D

Peace

ASA, PGF TC go buy a bunch of beer and meet at the park, leave the egos at home. Figure out a way to make this 100% about the girls. Make money, make it better, make us not have to pick sides. We are all Americans and we can all get on the same wave together. If you don't do this things are going to get ugly, mark my words

The mensas at ASA still think they are living in pre-PGF, pre-TCS softball times. They think they are still the $hit when it comes to youth softball and they see no threat...no more than they did from AFA, PONY, USSSA, et. al. I can't think of another organization that has been more habitually wrong about their customers.....they are Nero playing a fiddle while Rome burns all about them. They will end up being who they want to be in the first place.....the adult slow pitch organization....even though they get stiffer competition from USSSA in that division. The USOC has handed them the reigns to youth softball only to watch continuously them drive over cliffs.

SoCal ASA is even worse. Don't look for a spine when asking them for a ruling, there is none to find. State Qualifiers that force teams to overuse their pitching in 100+ degree heat.

OBTW: I don't think any of the organizations is ultimately doing this for the girls. JMHO.

Say Wut? The PGF forum exists because Der Einen and sidekick are PGF homers. It's as simple as that...

Oh that's it B_L_O.
I actually get big checks from PGF just to keep their forum open.

C'mon man. PGF is in your backyard, caters to the SoCal crowd (you), and helps fix that empty feeling you have in your wallet...i.e., no more traveling to Nats in Georgia. ASA earned their disdain, but let's be real about HB's "love me some PGF"...

Could be there's no love for ASA because there's no love from ASA.
