When I say this I am saying the truth. In the western region the Central California Dirt Dogs are the #1 01' team. They are ranked #1 NSA and ranked #2 in the western region for ASA. The Dirt Dogs were invited to the Western National 2012 tournament. That it self is remarkable. They lost their last and final game, which was the championship game, to the firecrackers 02' team. The firecrackers team was very good but if the Dirt Dogs were to play them fresh the game and score would have went differently. The Dirt Dogs are 3 deep pitcher wise and each pitcher is an ace. The girls from the dirt dogs team also received some pretty remarkable rewards while at the western national tournament. One girl # 14 on the team claimed the title of the fastest girl in the western region for Asa softball for both 10u and 12u around the bases. The Dirt Dogs also claimed the fastest around the horn time both 10u and 12u once again. I believe their time was 5.6 or so. Also one girl was recognized and asked to throw the first pitch from the dirt dogs #36 at the western nationals opining ceremony.

Sometimes the truth hurts

Though I think the Dirt Dogs were a great little team to watch play, I would argue they where the #1 team in the Western Region.
1: They didn't go to Nationals
2: They didn't win Westerns
3: They didn't win Fresno Force

I would put them in the top 5 or 6 in Nor Cal without a doubt. Mizuno Cervellin had everyone's number this year. Most wins head to head with any team. Most Tourney wins and finished 17th at Nationals. AASA, CC Dirt Dogs, KG Hitters, Spartans and Sting you could mix anyway you want all great 01 teams, Everyone on that list represented Nor cal Great.

Looks like Garcia's 12u must have played 10s this year??? Kinda surprised to see his team not make it in the top 1 or 2 for 10's??? Oh never mind this ranking is 2 years old!!!

FYI, Firecrackers 02 (now So Cal Athletics 2020) beat them twice before they met in the finals at Western Nationals. Beat them in Triple Crown tourney in Perris, CA and Firecrackers Mothers day classic tourney. Not sure if they were "fresh" enough to make those scores close or not.

No apologies necessary to us (parents get really excited and that's what makes the game and hey bucket fun). The other 2 games were close. In those games, they played us as hard as any team from nor cal did all year other than SJ Sting (#1 pitcher in norcal 10u, IMO) in the Western Quarter Finals. Way to get better all year and turn it up, at the end, when it counts. Congrats on a great season.
