The 16U team has 2015's and above, the 18 "A" team was pretty solid and beside pitching and some OF was hard to put kids in front of returning players from a 16U team, from what I have seen. Some 2015's from the previous 16U team moved up due to parents choice. Maybe not the best move for the kids, but time will tell. To simply call them rejects is a pretty asinine thing to do. IMO. Are the kids all committed to "major" D1's? No, but are they headed to college to play D1 ball? Yes.

Yes the coach of the 2nd 18G team has moved on, due to whatever reason. I do not have that info, nor would I share it. You can blame it on players being unhappy, or parents too. But tell me 1 team where all the players and parents are happy?

First, I am confused at all this "A" team vs "B" team. Who came up with that rule? Both teams have equal amount of committed kids, and all are going D1. So, I am not sure what makes one team an "A" and the other a "B".
Second, calling them rejects is really awful. Get a life.
Finally, not sure about anyone "stealing" other players. I am sorry if you lost players, but, they walked on their own, no one handcuffed them and forced them to play on a different team. I have heard that statement a lot on these threads; stealing players. That really sounds silly. How do you "steal" a player?
Sorry I don't get all this nonsense. Isn't it about the kid and getting her to play softball in college? Thankfully, I don't have to worry about that awful thing called recruiting anymore. But, there are kids out there who probably would not appreciate being called a "reject".

Wow.. I apologIze If thIs by any means came off as me callIng them a derogotory name. What I was trying to say is tat the other team is made up of girls who did not make the quote unquote A team.
Infact the definition of reject: Noun A person or thing dismissed as failing to meet standards or satisfy tastes.

Not once did I say that I agreed with the choice of team A versus team B. Infact I am uncertain the choice of some over others unless it was some sort of personal favor. I also am unsure if I would put my dd on said "A" team if she isn't already committed because the majority of this team is already committed how many coaches really want to watch a team full of girls who are already recruited.

Call them whAtever you want A versus B, old vs young. There is always one that is treated like a step child.

OK, so they have two teams. Not sure if I have figured out if one team is the 16U team and the other team is all commited D1 players. Coach KC is going to coach both and be in two places at one time?

ARE THEY GOING TO BE THE TEAM TO BEAT?

Early fall polls.

Firecrackers
Sudden Impact (Just thought I would put those two close together. hehe)
Storm (two teams)
Houston Power
Eclipse
Bombers/Cobras
Aces McCorkle (my understanding is that Jacoby is not related as far as Aces go)
Aces Jacoby
Impact Gold (two teams)
Peppers

I am sure I have left quite a few off, not on purpose.

MaryAnn, there are two teams. Both 18Gold Teams. There is a 16U and there is also a 14U team.
There is an established team, and a new team of 18 Gold players. As far as the team to beat, I think you can put Impact at the top of the list. The team that placed 2nd at ASA Nationals only lost 5 players. Most of the team remains, and should be a formitable team. The other team, that KC is managing, is made up of committed D1 players mixed with some 16U players. Should be fun to watch. Anything Impact puts together is going to be good.

The list you made up, is a super great list of some talented young ladies. This will be a great year for softball.

There is an established team, that when girls left, Lampl was left with filling in those spots. Some girls chose to remain on the other Gold team so that they could ensure playing time. No sense in going to Lampl's team, or Burke team, when you would be the number 5 pitcher/catcher/SS. I hope that makes sense.

Both teams will play and practice together making it easy to coach by KC, although there will be enough assistant coaches to go around and do what is necessary during game time.

KC will be coaching both Gold teams. The All American from Baylor will coach the 16U team with one of Jody's assistants and another one of Jody's assistants will coach the 14U team. Jody (McBride) will be coaching his son in baseball and be a Dad watching his girl play on Impact Gold from the bleacher's. There were 5 to 7 committed kids on the 16U roster from last year. They recruited VERY well for the 16U team last year.

Not in any particular order.

SI and FC just look good next to each other.

No problem Joe; I understand what you meant. No rejects around the Impact club.
