Try outs last weekend, this weekend and the following. There is alot of player movement. From 10u-18.
Imagine these boats are players looking to move to another team. (stolen from Pub)

I had my team tryouts a few weeks ago. Good turn out! I have my 9 players and looking for a few more 8-)
It turns out this new Organization desided to have tryouts the last weekend of August "Team Mizuno " I have few players still on the fence IM SURE because of this.

Should parents expect a big crowd with hundreds of families bursting like the video above with only a few spots to fill? My advice is get on a team where your kid can get playing time and not be on the bench most of the time. It's all about Reps and playing time.. Specially in the 10'ns thru 14'ns...

Good luck to all the families I hope you get the last few spots and for the the Power Houses... The underdogs are coming to get you ..Ive being watching money ball this summer...whaca!

Motivation video for all the underdogs

Team Mizuno will have a great turnout for sure. I'm not sure how many spots are available, but I do hope other orgs will hold another tryout after 8/25-26. Word is the team Start-up fees are approx $700 per player :| That might curve the interest.

How did the "word" figure 700$ start up? What the heck would that include?

I would suspect everything Mizuno from head to toe, including bat, bag, glove, etc. It makes sense and it may be a savings.

I guess that goes hand in hand with all the other stories of top SoCal teams charging $1000 plus just to tryout.
Maybe someone just threw you a curve to curb your interest

I think you may be right...
What is the average start up for the top level teams? CA,Mizuno,Firecrackers,Batbusters?

Every age group is a different startup fee. Just one of those things.
