Final So Cal 10U Rankings

by BAM2 » Mon Jul 02, 2012 5:51 am

The Truth!!! I"m glad someone finally let me know what was up, and that we were just "Scared" to play in the tournament, with all the great teams from Southern California.
I was told it was because, the tournament we ended up in, did not have enough teams to field it and had a team coming from Hawaii. And that a favor was asked of our team if we would particiapate to help their visit be more memorable. I'm sure it wasn't about the trading pins and gifts we gave the Hawaii team, to make their girls feel special on their visit. Or the BBQ they had on the last day and brought food over for the girls, in a way of saying thanks.
However you put it, my daughter enjoyed meeting new kids and hopefully they felt the same.
It's great when you can put aside what tournament you should be in, what team you should be on, what team is better than the rest. It's great when you're not worried about the fallout of pulling out of a tournament, because someone might think your dodging them or scared. It's great when you do what's good for the game of softball and girls other that your own.
This tournament was about the Hawaii team, nothing else.

Play with Honor, Live with Honor.

Very well said!!! I hope this is truly what you believe. In saying that, you are a parent that was only about your kid when you decided to leave the La Mirada Firecracker's because your daughter wasn't getting the the Final Championship games as a pitcher. Seems like it was only about your kid?? Live with Honor?? Again, with you being in the FC Organization I sure hope you reap the benefits of Tony Rico and his beliefs and let your daughter earn her way to those Championship games. ;)

I'm okay with you believing that, I can't fault you for not having correct information. She was 01 playing on an 00 team. For us to imagine her pitching in a Final Championship last year would've been amazing. We sought advise from other FC coaches before we left, because it was based on principal, not on the field stuff that you speak of some 17months ago. I apologize that you've had the wrong information this whole time. Both my daughters have reaped benefits from Tony Rico and his beliefs, so you don't have to hope there.
Live with Honor, That why I attach my name so people know excatly who I am, and I have no issues with anyone asking what my username might be.
This is your second post and i'm sure it won't be your last. Just make sure you have both sides to every story, that way your attacks or assumptions will have basis to it.
Peace out - Peace out

Sorry AKA!!!
I do know the truth and the FC coaches you inquired within were the ones who said you were in their ear about playing time. You never quit on a team at the end of a season. It's about a team not an individual. I do have the correct information and you can say as you please. I know that you are still in the ears of the parents. Practice what you preach.
As for attaching your name, KUDOS to you. I'm fine with this great free forum, not everyone needs the attention of attaching their name. :)

If I didn't know any better, one would think this is a rec ball site. For heaven sake, they're only 10. It's a marathon not a sprint. When the college recruiter comes knocking at the door, besides talent they are looking for character, and if we don't stress character now, these kids will not "just wake up" with it when they're 18. Enjoy them while we can, because before we know it, we'll all be wondering where the time went. And please don't let your kids read all this crap. When the day's done they're all winners, because they're playing. Good luck to all wherever your're playing.

As far as trying to stir the pot and calling out the FC 01 team(once again), cmon now.Really??These girls put in some major work and go out there week in and week out with a target on their backs and put on quite an impressive show whether you like them or not. Sure, they may not win em all, but to come out and say they are scared to play is a joke. Im proud of my kid and im proud of our girls. Its people like you that just keeps us motivated. To those teams going to Nationals, good luck to all, and enjoy the moment.

Right on new2 - this troll isn't a friend to any team.

Sounds to me Big Guns is a bitter Mizuno parent that continues to attack little girls - shame on you!

BigGuns wrote:First i think that Mizuno has out played so cal A's in the last 4 games, Thank god for drop dead and the score reverting is only reason A's got the win. And Gamers have outplayed FC01 every game except 1. whats there head to head record in tournaments 4-1 or 5-1

speaking of FC01 rumor is they got scared the friendly last weekend was turned into a tournament so they backed out. Probably wise. Way to go state champs. Hold your one spot with only one true win in a tournament. Hide your way to Nationals

Way to play A's - considering the bad rap these girls received prior to going to Nationals. Let this be a lesson to all teams with daddyball coaches/parents. Why don't you stop talking ill of eachother and the players and find some kindness. Travel ball would be much more enjoyable for everyone if you just let these young girls Live, Laugh and Learn!

Ya the A's were so successful that the Gamers have taken there spot and there name  I guess after they sent the A's home from Indiana , they took there name :o . Too bad for the Gamers they had a good rep. But good the the A's. They dumped the worse parents in 10u and got some of the best players and parents for 12u.
