I know I'm going to regret this, but here goes:
SLAPPER thats a intresting point you have.
Your missing what i'm trying to help some on here realize as to wich of the 3 tournament were more important.
More important to who? To the kids playing, the most important tournament going on is the one they're playing in.
You know as well as I know that at the 12u level there will be "NO'' college coaches there scouting, My point exactly, thanks for playing along.
stop trying to be superman here with that big of a sarcastic comment trying to make me the fool. I'm no Superman, and I don't think you need any help.
But there might be some High School coaches, [ just kidding on that one, lol]. Hey, I can appreciate the effort.
Your pointing out alot of maybes of douchbag parents and other things,, No, I thought I was pretty clear on the douchebag parents, there were no maybes. The maybes I was trying to point out is there are sometimes extenuating circumstances beyond anyone's control.
the point is that everyone involved in travel ball should know the expense involved and be prepared with fundraisers , car pooling, or friend & family sponsors , Right, and my point is, here's a stand up gal, going above and beyond the call for a kid who's not even her's. She's doing the right thing for the kid. I take my hat off to her, well done Joy, well done.
if i offended her in any way, i deeply apologize. Really?
As far as playing an ASA,PGF,NSA,USSA tournaments that would entirely be there personal choice. More points we agree on.
But for a team to have the opportunity to even make the cut to go to an ASA nationals, that is the better of the 3 that were mentioned here on our discussion. Ahhh, so we're limiting the discussion to ASA, NSA, and USFA. Could the teams playing PGF make the same assertion about ASA? Our 14U team is currently the reigning NSA, USFA, and ASA state champions. They're going to USFA, based on location, they like the beach. My advice would be go have some fun.
So i guess since maybe a team has figured out that they dont stand a chance in winning an ASA Nationals they might be better off going somewhere else to play, even though they made the cut. but any team that did make the cut - like i said is allready a winner because of the amount of berths given out in the State of Indiana. You should think about a career in politics.
So the bottom line is that if a team had the chance to go but cant ,, then just pass the berth down, i'm sure Cindy will find another team wanting to go. Who said the berth wouldn't be passed on?
As far as bellittleing [ i bet i spelled that one wrong], that was not my intentions at all,, I though it was a little constructive criticism to get to the point. Belittling, and "I is typically capitalized, just a little constructive criticism.
And i dont think at all the ASA program offers any propaganda sites to read as you stated.
Like I said and I stick to it,,,,,ASA not for everyone It's also not the be all end all. Just a dad makes a valid point, I'll see you at the finish line.
