Final So Cal 10U Rankings

Congratulations to the Firecrackers 01 on winning the ASA Nationals in Indiana. Also congrats to the Firecrackers 02 on winning the Western A Nationals, So Cal Primetime on winning USSSA, USA Athletics on winning Triple Crown and Thousand Oaks on winning Western B Nationals.

Looks like I was dead on with my rankings about six weeks ago (see them below). I listed Firecrackers 01 and Gamers 01 as the #1 and #2 teams and that's exactly how it came down. The Firecrackers were obviously a great team on a roll, peaking at the right time. Give them all the credit. Awesome to see 11 year-old girls play like that. Also a job well done by the other Southern California teams. They all represented the state very well.

A few teams will make moves a few spots up and down this list, but I think the previous rankings were pretty damn close. As with the previous rankings, head to head games and strength of the tournament they were in are taken into consideration. One team left off the previous list will be included in this one, and that is Thousand Oaks. Even though they are a rec team, they are excellent and remain intact the whole year, known as Millenium Bownet. They will be back as a 12u travel team in about a month. They lost to the Gamers in the finals of the Huntington Beach Classic in late January.

Previous rankings

I am an assistant coach on a top twenty 10U team and have been watching and playing against these teams since January in various tournaments and friendlies and I think that Juandoe's rankings are a little off. I think if you are a top team and you beat everyone, it is hard to accurately judge the other teams. I think the best viewpoint of how strong these teams are would come from a team somewhere in the middle (ranked anywhere from 8 to 15). They are probably consistently losing to the top seven teams, are competitive or beating everyone else.

These are the top teams, in my opinion, based on results in head to head competition and my observation. I do welcome the opinion of others, especially if you can say that you've beaten a team two out of two times (or more) that I have ranked ahead of yours. I will separate these teams into tiers.

Tier 1

Any teams left off are teams that I have not seen, mostly because they have not been consistently at tournaments or friendlies. Let the debate begin.

First i think that Mizuno has out played so cal A's in the last 4 games, Thank god for drop dead and the score reverting is only reason A's got the win. And Gamers have outplayed FC01 every game except 1. whats there head to head record in tournaments 4-1 or 5-1

speaking of FC01 rumor is they got scared the friendly last weekend was turned into a tournament so they backed out. Probably wise. Way to go state champs. Hold your one spot with only one true win in a tournament. Hide your way to Nationals

As far as trying to stir the pot and calling out the FC 01 team(once again), cmon now.Really??These girls put in some major work and go out there week in and week out with a target on their backs and put on quite an impressive show whether you like them or not. Sure, they may not win em all, but to come out and say they are scared to play is a joke. Im proud of my kid and im proud of our girls. Its people like you that just keeps us motivated.To those teams going to Nationals,good luck to all, and enjoy the moment.

First off not trying to stir pot....JMHO. Ranking 10U teams should be taken for what it is.....opinions. They are fun to read and spark good conversation. We have played most these teams on this list at least once, most twice and some three or more times. The only teams we have not faced are SoCal Athletics and Corona Angels. I can honestly say any of these teams can beat any other team on any given day. Again, JMO. I feel ALL the coaching staffs from these listed teams have done a wonderful job preparing these young ladies for competition. These same coaching staffs interaction with us has been met with professionalism, courtesy, integrity and aggressive play. It has been fun and exciting playing and competing against all of you this season. You all have some amazing talented athletes for ten years old! Enjoy whatever championship venue your team is competing in and good luck. 12U is right around the corner.

It is fun stirring the pot, this site gets pretty boring- and never would i say anything negative about the players. FC01 players are probably the most talented group out there. If they had the coaching staff Angels, Mizuno, or Gamers have, they would have won more then 1 tournament.

As for the comment on FC01 pulling out this weekend to avoid the lose before Nationals. That is for the scared coaching staff- nothing against the players- i am sure they wish they played. Smart when they heard every top team was playing. they had no chance to win a one day tournament against the top teams. Now they can still go to nationals pretending they are the number 1 team from so cal. Well until they play so cal teams.

Someone really hates FC01 coaching staff, I wonder what the heck they did to BigGuns?? apparently there are a lot of teams that are not doing well but his only vendetta is against the FC01 staff.

Did some investigating & from what I hear BigGuns once supported the Coaches & Staff..That was until BigGuns burned his bridges & put his foot in his mouth! The same way he does now on these threads..

I wont reveal your identity because it will only cause chaos for your Daughter on her team..But you should really quit bashing coaches & teams before you get blackballed from the 10u div.& people find out what a troll you really are..

Your Daughter deserves better she would be embarrassed & mortified to find out that her own parent is acting in a immature, classless, distasteful, way!!

One last thing! I would like to thank all the Coaches,Trainers,Scorekeepers,Team moms,or anyone else who volunteers time to their respected teams or organization..

Oh! I almost forgot!! I will agree with BigGuns on one thing! FC01 has the worst CoacheS!! On the (10u fall season has officially begun) thread..FC01 started out as the #5 team..Shortly after that juandoe had them at #3..Then juandoe releases another pole & has them at #2..This latest pole has FC01 at #1...What are you Coaches doing over there?? lol...

Let's try to remember that your only as good as your last game or tournament!! Remember the New England Patriots who went undefeated the whole season & had bragging rights about being the best the whole season..Well! We all know what happened in the SuperBowl..

Mizuno can beat So Cal A's 10 times to one!! Or like you stated Gamers have beaten FC01 5 times to one!! Guess What??? All those other wins are meaningless if you cant win the big one!! (STATES,NATIONALS) You apparently don't know to much about the game if you would think that any team is dodging another this late in the season..it's called "Strategy"

So quit being a Hater!! Drink some Hateraid!! Get out of line at the Hometown Buffet!! & quit making excuses why your DD's team didn't win at STATES!! Every team came full force that day to win it all~The best team won it that day!! So Good luck to all the teams going to Nationals & once again Congrats to the FC01 for winning States!!
