GREAT WKND OF SOFTBALL! AMAZING GAME BETWEEN GAMERS & FC01 THIS GAME WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY & HAD ALL THE HYPE IT SHOULD WHEN THE #1 & #2 TEAMS BATTLE IT OUT!! VERY INTENSE , NAIL BITING , DOWN TO THE LAST OUT IN (ITB )NO LESS ~FROM BEHIND THE BACK TRICK CATCHES, TO RUNNERS SLIDING AROUND TAGS & UMPIRES REVERSING THERE CALLS 6 TIMES FOR BOTH SIDES ..THIS GAME HAD EVERYTHING NECESSARY WHERE THEY COULD HAVE CHARGED FOR ADMISSION~MIZUNO VS SO CAL AS'S WAS ALSO VERY INTENSE...PLEASE POST RESULTS OR SHARE YOUR FAVORITE GAME OF THE WKND..

Alot of great games and great plays made this weekend. Some of the best IMO

Team Mizuno vs. USA Athletics- USA puts runs up early on Team Mizuno. And Mizuno chips away at at lead and goes on top by 1 and holds on for the tough win. Mizuno wins 4-3

Firecrackers 02 vs. Power Surge- Firecrackers 02 put runs up on the board first and has a 1 run lead at the end, before Power Surge hit a 2 run double in their last at bats for a come from behind win by 1. Power Surge wins 4-3

Team Mizuno vs. So Cal A's- Very close and intense game the whole game. Only 1 run seperated this team the whole game and the So Cal A's hold on for revenge for Fresno Force. Very emotional game on both sides. So Cal A's win 2-1

Gamers vs. Team Mizuno- This game was back and forth the whole game. One team would put up some runs and the other team would match it the very next at bat. Tied in the last inning of regulation with 2 outs and 2 runners on. Walk off double wins it. Gamers win 6-5

The best game of the weekend

Firecrackers 01 vs. Gamers- This game was 1-0 the whole game. Most, if not all parents and coaches at the park are watching the game. Firecrackers rally to put up 1 run in their last at bats to tie the game at 1. They have a chance to win it in regulation but leave two runners stranded. The game goes into ITB and Gamers go up by 1 in the top half of the inning. Firecrackers then tie it at 2 in the bottom and have another chance to win it. 2 outs with 2 runners on again. Batter hits the ball to 3rd. Runner scores from 3rd. Game Over. Firecrackers win 3-2 .


Alot of talent out there on display this weekend. All these teams are playing very good softball right now. ASA Nationals will be very interesting. I would have to say Firecrackers 01 are the favorite to win Nationals since the last 3 State Champions have also won the National Championship.

How did USA Athletics go out in 2 and BBQ? Isn't this the guy chest thumping about getting crushed in the finals in Vegas by the Gamers? Did he lose players since Vegas? Did he have a tough route at States? Schedule shows they had a bye first round.

Any other shockers for the weekend? It looks like the big sisters Firecrackers finally beat their little sisters, with a big score. Seems like Case's performance was sub par. PowerSurge seemed to come out of no where and play some teams tough, however they get routed by the Gamers by over 10 runs. Heard that Primetime has a pitcher that throws pretty hard.

Anyway, good job 10U, I'm sure you all will kick butt at Nationals and represent California well. Out of the 13 teams at states, Who's going to nationals?

Agree very good games. Gamers and FC 01 was best game from what I heard also. Wasn't able to see it but from what I heard Gamers gave the game to FC01. A few key errors and tons of help behind the plate. either way great game and FC 01 took advantage of the help. But if it came down to those 2 at Nationals my money will be on Gamers. From the games I saw and what I heard happen. gamers is the better team. If the tournament played on like it should have. gamers would have probably came back and won it.

But for the winner of Nationals. That streak of teams who win states wins nationals is over. Mizuno will take it all. And if you look at the past few years. The top pitcher always wins nationals because it's spaced out for them. sorry Juan doe your firecracker team won't win it. But love how you stand behind your team. Would you please just give some more credit to Mizuno

I watched the game between Gamers & FC01 & it was pretty even on the officiating of the umpires..Gamers got some calls go there way & so did FC01..The fact of the matter is FC01 pitcher was on "FIRE" pitching the whole game including (ITB) allowing just 2 runs to a very good hitting team(Gamers) is just amazing~...but to come back & do it again the very next day during a Championship game & allow only 2 runs to a extremely talented S0 CAL AS'S team (same pitcher) is truly remarkable..Just for the record it was a different umpire doing that game? So maybe someone is feeding you false info. BigGuns!! Or are you going to blame all the FC wins on "UMPIRES" Just Sayin!..As far as Nationals go..I think it's up for grabs & anyone of the top 5 teams can take it..

JJ- From what I hear these are the teams that plan on going.

Corona Angels- Locked up their bid last year and definitely going.
Firecrackers 01- Going for sure.
Gamers- Going for sure.
Team Mizuno- Big Guns says not only are they going but they will win it.
So Cal Athletics- Going for sure.
Case Batbusters- Going? Not sure.

All the rest I believe are not going. But I could be wrong.

Congratulations to Team Mizuno on your tie for 5th at ASA States. Going 2-2 for the weekend. And if you say the streak will end, and Team Mizuno will win it? But in the same paragraph say the team with the top pitcher will win it. Am I missing something here? You guys can't pick up the Gamers pitcher even if you wanted to. Is the Lefty coming back? Is there some stud pitcher out there that just left her Rec All- Star team just so that she can dominate with Team Mizuno at Nationals. Keep me updated please . PM ME
And about the umpiring get used to it. All the SoCal teams will be getting bad calls against them in Bloomington. Especially against the hometown teams. The last thing they want to see is a So Cal team take it home again. Don't believe it, ask any coach that went to Nationals last year.

Softball Wiz- It was the same blue. Some guys are so bad.. you don't forget. He also was involved in the Team Mizuno vs. A's game. And Team Mizuno vs. American Pastime game.
And you are right. The pitcher was on fire all weekend.

My source is pretty reliable. And I don't care much for either gamers or fc. Either way it seems only the parents of FC seem to come on hey bucket and brag about them when they finally win something. Don't forget you just lost 2 tournament to FC 02. And you lost three tournaments to Gamers. You barely sneak by Gamers in ITB and now you think your favorites in Nationals. You have to love the FC parents. Only ones who come on here and brag when you finally get a win. Remember it's your only win so sit back and enjoy and stop bragging. Everyone still knows who the favorite is. and yes your pitcher did pitch well. But she is not the best pitcher in 10's. There is a lot of good pitchers
Mizuno has a better pitcher and your lucky you didn't have to face her

FC 01 is by far and away the best team out there. They get the players that all the other teams want( got to play for sonner or later) . They won states because they are the best. The only reason it's there first tourny win is because they were just waiting for the right time to turn it on. As for Ocbb 01 , ( karma got them, after that post about So cal As in Fresno ) there weak, a very thin team. And managed by One of the worst 10u managers I've seen in a long time. Word is there's a few players , parents ready to jump ship. Can u blame them? Go Crackers ! Nationals here we come.
