by bracketologist » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:16 pm

Made a small adjustment to the top of the poll based on the Bracky tournament results.

New poll will be out towards the end of March.

Bracky will you be inviting any of the NorCal teams? When will they be notified so they can make plans to attend?

Any ranked team in either the Nor Cal or So Cal Bracketologist polls are eligible to play in the June 2-3 TCS Bracky Elite 24 Tournament in Northern San Diego.

While I have sent out a couple of invites, I won’t be able to promote the event until the end of April – so right now TCS is signing teams up “first come, first registered.”

14U Top Teams Bracketologist – Updated May 24th!

Pre ASA State & AZ PGF Qualifier

Ok I updated the poll after the MD Tournaments and in time for ASA State & the AZ PGF Qualifer! The memorial weekend tournament is usually the first competition back after high school ball.

Should be a great summer but with 9 out of the top 15 teams – yet to qualify for PGF Nationals – I'm not sure how all 9 are going to make it.

While the 12U TCS Bracketologist Elite 24 @ San Diego, California June 2-3, 2012
is sold out –there is lots of room in 14U

Come play:
#1 – Firecrackers Sota
#5 – Power Surge 97

This event is open to all 14U teams ranked or not!

As with all Bracky Events:
1. Bring an extra scorekeeper (Stats are used to name an ALL TOURNAMENT team)
2. You keep HR & MVP Balls
3. Have Fun

TCS 14U Memorial Day Double Elimination Classic

Every year this tournament serves as the jumping off point for the older 14U teams.

Congratulations to OC Batbusters McNee great job in taking 1st place for the second year in a row, Lil Saints in 2nd (have watched this team play up solid team) and Corona Angels Lockman for finishing 3rd (an importment over pre HS form).

It really is going to be a dog fight to qualify for PGF Nationals!

Come on NumeroUno, I had no idea this poll was out there because it wasn't in Active Topics. Lets see regional news again on Active Topics. I also loved reading the Texas crap.

Brackey- thanks for taking the time to frame the ranking debates. Curious when we can expect the next poll results.

If you know Brackey's track record of updated polls, the next one will probably not be until all of the qualifiers are done and the PGF and ASA nationals field of teams are set, so say, some time around the 4th week of July. ASA States is done, and there are 3 more PGF qualifiers that it looks like So Cal teams are attending (Nor Cal, North Texas and Oregon). And then there is the question of what PGF may do with the leftover berths from the cancelled Colorado and Georgia 14u qualifiers.

Anyone know how So Cal Athletics got a PGF invite? I believe this team formed just 2 years ago so it can't be based on prior results in Nationals.
