I'm just sayin.....

Imagine driving 300 miles each way for a 1 game playoff. At least we won.

That was the half way point? :o

Yes. We played an El Paso team. This week is a relatively short 200 mile one way trip. Of course seeing the girls in the playoffs makes it all worth while.

I drove 200 each way for a best of 3 and after food and hotel, we still lost. Some of the district matchups are unique.

From reading the comments they are supposedly writing their numbers/names and crosses in the dirt. They do this every game, have for years???
While the action in itself is fine, why would you intentionally do it during the opponents intros? Why not do it at any other time unless you are trying to be disrespectfull to the other team?

I understand the "we aren't interested thing" coming from the fans. Like the holding newspapers in front of your face, like you are reading it, while russling the paper to make noise. All done while opponent is being introduced. done mostly at basketball games. I think it crosses the sportsmanship line, when the players themselves are doing the ignoring.

Where is the coach from Sterling when the Alvin girl's names and positions where called out? She was all the way down at third base with her arms crossed. Which the video does not show, I know this because I was there. She had no intentions of shaking their hands. Two wrongs do not make a right. True the Alvin coach's have let this go on for years and should have put a stop to it along time ago but don't hate on the girl's. I believe as a parent that we cannot pick and choose who our DD play's for in high school unless we move to another school district which in most cases can't happen because we as parents have chosen a certain area do to our jobs etc..

Predictions for region 3

Cinco Ranch (OK, I admit I have a dog in this fight)
Pearland (Just a hunch)
Katy (Always find a way to get it done. Doesn't hurt to have #4 in circle either)
Deer Park (May be best team dd played against among Katy, Alvin, & Woodlands)

Don't know enough about the other regions to make any predictions.

Ok bigbaddude feel free to do just that and see how long DD is in the line-up. The coach may get reprimanded for it but eventually will take it out on you'r DD by not playing her. You may say ok she doesn't play, or you may do what some parents do and bite you'r tongue and can't wait for the high school season to be over where she can go play travel ball for one of the best coach's in ALL of Texas and probably the United States right here in the Houston area. Me personally, I don't have much toungue left it's about chewed off but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

That is the word on the street due to the possibility of rain on Friday and Saturday.
