Just in case nobody noticed, 1st to 3rd updated his rankings on page 1 of this post.

Too much emphasis on Silver placements.

1st to 3rd should just use his real name Team Extreme Dad!!!! Lost most of the respect I had for his rankings when he quit ranking teams because his daughters team was having a hard couple of weeks.

His new rankings are clearly a reflection of how teams have played against them.

Rankings should not be based on how much you like or dislike another team or their coach or a personal agenda. Play on the field should dictate rankings.

For those who are talking about Modesto Crusaders look at the pool play and Sunday Brackets they split games with CC Dirt Dogs. This team was off the map and had what some could say was a good weekend. I agree they were in the hardest overall bracket of the weekend in pool play. That said 0 - 3 on SAT losing to Heat 99 Firecrackers and Dirt Dogs then beating beating teams like Foot Hill Gold, Breeze Maddison, Fresno Force should not be any where close to reason of sliding into the top 10.

With every post, someone builds their credibility or lowers it. I think we just saw an example of the latter with this latest ranking. I won't go as far as saying the alias should be Xtreme dad (since I see them ranked higher than some), but another alias could be Mr. Agenda.

There's room for multiple rankings as it gives us all insight into the teams we'll see around. Like other polls, it's unlikely there will be consensus but you'd like to see some similarities. All of us here, whether we have a team in the rankings or not, can see which rankings are at least attempting to be objective and as impartial as they can be.

In this latest from 1st to 3rd, it's moved from objective to either agenda or just being uninformed. Silver is the winner of the bottom half of all teams after Saturday seeding. It's the top finish of the bottom half of the tourney when they're split. 48 teams at Fresno Force means Silver equals 25th place. Not good enough to not have been ranked in the past and all of a sudden show up. Going deep in Silver is commendable for the girls to stay alive, but it's not against the same kind of competition in Gold. Good teams were one and done on Sunday in Gold based on the format.

Props to our region's teams who seeded Gold. Mad props to those who won Sunday games in Gold and to those who were one and done who played hard with a chance to win.

I came across the original notes for 1st to 3rd's rankings

This will be a results based ranking based on quality wins over Team Extreme, over all record when playing Extreme with a little emotion built in. If I don't really like you sorry but you will never make the top 10!

1.) RR Gold - Miller: Extreme has never beat them so they must be #1 They to lost to the Sun Devils in Fresno just like we did.

2.) [/b][/i]Mizuno - Garcia: When we were known as TC we beat them ounce so they must be #2 Lost to Firecrackers in Fresno

Tie - 3rd. ) Team Extreme: My Kid plays here we must be above the rest.Tied for 5th at Fresno Force playing good games against Sun Devils, while beating KG Tracy and SJ Sting on Sunday until finally falling to the 2nd place team.

Tie - 3rd) Grapettes - Norwood: Even tho they have won a few tourneys and we have not I rank them as a Tie so people wont laugh at me if I put them below my daughters team. I really like coach N she is super cool. Tied for 3rd at Fresno Force Classic. Better then us but that's ok.

5.) Grapettes - Kappmeyer: Hey I like Coach K remember his kid played with us on TC and he had that cool cooler radio. Tied for 5th place at Fresno Force Classic losing to Grapes - Norwood.

6.) SJ Sting: Don't know anything about this team but my friends tell me they are good. (Note) Make sure and tell every one we beat them it will help justify our #3 spot. Knocked out 1st game Sunday by Team Extreme at Fresno Force Classic.

7.) KG Hitters - Tracy: Best 00' team in norcal. This team has beaten us when we were TC so we need them in the top ten... If we keep telling everyone when we beat them maybe people will forget about r loss to them. Knocked out 1st game Sunday by Team Extreme at Fresno Force Classic.

8.) Roseville Heat - LaGabed: This team has not yet beat us but damn it they keep playing us close. Yep keep them in the top 10. Knocked out 1st game by California Crossfie at Fresno Force Classic.

9.) CC Dirtdogs - Mancha: Another team I know nothing about but Garcia likes them so ahh what the heck I gotta finish this thing. Silver Bracket 2nd Place at fresno Force Classic.


10.) Modesto Crusaders: Split games with Dirt Dogs lets throw them a bone 1st place Silver Bracket at Fresno Force.

11.) Roseville Heat - Cota: Damn This team tied us a few weeks ago maybe I should have thrown them in the 9 spot. No that might look to obvious. Ummm lets see they lost to MSC who I don't have listed??? Oh I know!!! Lost 1st game to Firecrackers - LaMirada at Fresno Force.

12.) California Breeze 00': 2nd best 00' team in NorCal. What can I say I like the pin stripe jerseys... Besides if I mention someone else and that team beats us I might have to move us down. Silver Bracket at Fresno Force Classic.

Make sure not to mention teams like MSC Tiger's or USA Elite these teams are playing pretty good ball. Wait a sec tho these guys have done well everywhere and beat the 00 teams I have listed. Uggg!!! just keep them off the list I can't afford to have these guys beat us and knock us out of the top 5... OH Crap that Stone team!!! What do I do about them?? Well let's see I have never liked these coaches and they made us look silly in Lincoln a month ago when we still had are other pitcher and are catcher. (Can anyone tell me how to get the word Silver off of this plaque) Even tho I gave love to some Silver bracket teams With out a doubt don't mention the silver thing I have blasted other teams for ending up there in the past. If anyone catches that will they bump us down the boards. C'mon man snap out of it we are Team Cali... I mean Team Extreme!!!

Hmm can I really post this?? I think I need to figure out how to clean this up.

1st to 3rd your ranking is not good at all. And we all know your an xtream parent.. Just come on and say it . The last 2 rankings I saw from linedrive and 99norcal were much better.

As we head into Memorial Day play next weekend, I thought I'd put my top 15 out. Not going to say anything about the teams so it can't be taken as anything against our DD's. But those who are in the know and have seen these teams throughout this season--not just one tourney--shouldn't object too much except for a few things here and there.

My only problem is some of these teams are playing at tournaments that aren't as competitive. There are some teams that moved up pretty high on your list that did not attend Reno where, in my opinion, most of the competition was. Anyone on your top 15 list can go play an easier tourney and win, win, win. You really have to take a look at who some of these teams are beating. For the most part I think your top 15 is right on the money except a few!

I somewhat agree with your new ranking, but I'm confused why extreme continues to be ranked number 3 when they have not won a championship and both north valley rapids and Mizuno stone have beaten them. Seems to me extreme should drop a few spots down until they can prove they get that spot.

Journey, I agree - any of these teams can find a tourney with less competition and win it. But I don't think any of the higher ones here are doing that on a regular basis. And if they are, they aren't getting the benefit of a higher ranking. I'd like to see Team USA and MSC Tigers appear more regularly against these teams but on the rare occasion they do, they have done well enough to be ranked where they are.

Mommy's P--yes, NV Rapids--new to the ranking--beat Xtreme as well as Mizuno Stone having done so. But Xtreme has also beaten both of them, too, during the season and against NV Rapids in a championship game (there's the championship you were looking for). I would have put Grapettes Norwood higher than Xtreme, but when they went head to head last Saturday, an 8-0 win for Xtreme isn't going to put Grapes higher at this point. There's a lot of pro-Xtreme and bashing on the board. This is just what I think is an honest and earned ranking. And like my other rankings, I'll again say that there is a big drop after the first 2 in RR Gold and Mizuno Garcia.

I've tried to rank these how I would see it playing out more often than not head to head and also how it might end up if all these teams got together in the same tourney. Again, just one person's opinion and hopefully of value as teams look how they stack up against others in the area. And for teams not listed, they'll know who they might want to play against and beat in order to get listed.

Just buying time until 1st to 3rd comes back with the "official" rankings for us all.
