Going to be interesting to see how they compensate for rain delays.
Rules state the following:
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the unlikely event of rain, every effort will be made to continue and complete the Tournament. However, one or more of the following formats may be instituted at the discretion of the Tournament Director. Teams must be prepared to play at ANYTIME!
The run rule will be lowered to 8 runs after three (3) innings, 6 runs after four (4) innings and 4 runs after five (5) innings.
One (1) hour time limit and/or five (5) innings of play.
In the event of extreme conditions, the safety and welfare of the players will be a primary concern of the Tournament Staff. Games may or will be shortened to the above-mentioned formats as necessary.
If rain seems likely for Sunday, hopefully they'll speed up pool play on Saturday and perhaps start bracket play earlier. They could also eliminate the consolation side of the bracket. If you saw the bracket on the 10U post, it's pretty odd. With rainouts and make ups I'd say get rid of it.......no need keeping 26 teams there (that lose their first bracket game) to battle for 27th place.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the storm misses Vegas, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.
