BW - You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I took a look at the websites that you posted and they are every bit slanted towards your agenda as the ones that you are speaking against. Just about any group can pull stats to back up whatever they are trying to support. I don't agree with your opinion/position and I am sure that we could both spend hours pulling up websites to support our differing opinions.

What I don't understand is your strong support for the Muslim system that denies girls and women their rights. You obviously have a daughter that plays softball. Why are you so hungry to defend a system where your daughter would not have the opportunity to play were she in a Muslim country? It is well known what restrictions females have to live under in Muslim based countries. You are clearly very liberal and I am sure you would characterize yourself as one who believes in equal rights. So, it is not making sense to me why you are so quickly supporting a system that would deny rights to females.

When my younger daughter was in middle school she played on the travelling school volleyball team and had two Muslim teammates. I drove these girls to most of the games. Neither of the girls ever had a parent come to a game. Not once. One time, one of the girls was telling me that she wished her mom would come. I asked her if her mom worked and she said no, she was just at home. The other girl's dad did not want her to play but her older brother talked him into letting her. One night after a tournament we were returning to school and I offered to drive her home. She said no that her brother would come get her and help sneak her in. She said she would be up until 3 a.m. I thought that was a lot of homework and she said she would be cleaning the house and start her homework after that. These are some of my experiences and I am sure you have your own. Unfortunately, neither of these girls are now playing sports in high school and they were both good athletes.

Our system of government may not be perfect and the people running it certainly are not. I just am not understanding your dislike of our country that insures your rights to your opinion or that your daughter can pursue her interests. Have you considered moving to a Muslim based country and trying to start a softball team there? It would be wonderful experience for the girls there, however, I don't think that you will find the supportive fathers there like you do here.

Catwoman...nothing in any of the posts that I've put forward suggests that I support the subjugation of the rights of women, children or the subjugation of human rights of any particular people.

I support the right of self determination for all peoples around the world.
What I have said and continue to say is...It is not our business to interfere in the sovereign affairs of other countries. We should not be the policemen of the world. We have our own problems. We should not be providing material support in the form of foreign aide to any country. We should not be instigating regime change.
We should not be invading and occupying these countries. As former CIA agent Michael Scheuer points out in his interviews it is hurting America.

It is unrealistic to believe our interference around the world is positive for Americans.

As far as human rights are concerned, Israel kills almost 8 times as many Palestinian children as the other way around.

Yet the American media gives 12 times as much coverage to an Israeli death as it does to a Palestinian one. Why are they more deserving of our compassion than Arab children?

YET when presented with the proof that it is not only liberals who want America out of the Middle East this is what I get...

I chose "loonwatch", one of your links, as a response to your question and you chose to reply totally off topic with info regarding CNI.
