Corona Xpress is not ranked but they will be at the St. Paddys Day tourney in Vegas so they will have a chance to show what they have. There are a lot of the ranked teams going to this tourney!!! Vegas and softball got to love it! :D

Just heard it was the AP2000 team but the MP 2000 tied the Diamonds and the knuckleheads. Both r majority 99 girls. Looks like the 2000 teams r playing well.

I agree that there are some teams below #24 that deserve to play in the tournament. I will be updating the poll in mid March so it is possible that some teams will become eligible by moving up in the poll. For TCS the teams grade (A, B+, B etc.) is more important then the poll ranking.

The easiest way for a team ranked below 24 to make the tournament, play in a power pool with the top teams and have a 1st round guaranteed bye is enter the TCS Santa Clarita Open tournament 4-28/29 and place 1st or 2nd.

See TCS website for full details on how to earn a spot into the tournament.

Added the definitions on 1st page – for 12U the grades are 100% subjective (i.e., I know it when I see it). Since the poll started in 2007 every ASA Nationals champion has had an A grade…. I’m still waiting for the 1st so cal B+ team to make the finals at ASA Nationals. An B+ or B team winning Nationals is most likely to happen at PGF Nationals with its stupid blind draw system. Under PGF’s blind draw format the 2011 NCAA tournament could’ve had Arizona State (1), Florida (4), Alabama (2) & Missouri (5) playing in the same Regional....... :!:
