I am sure we will see NWI Sox in Hobart in May, as well as in some of the ASA/USA Quals. We will also be in Shamburg, IL for their Slugfest in May. I look forward to seeing this years Sox team. We had a lot of fun and close games both times we saw the 00 team last year.

Any northern 10U teams playing at Sportzone? If I recall, there are a few 10U tourneys next month? Maybe the Gators '01 and Edge '01 are playing in those....

It is February and I love the softball talk.
We (Triple Crown Xtreme) have been looking to play at Sportzone, but are having trouble getting return contact as we would like a team listing (similar to the NSA tournaments in Lafayette) to make the decision to go that direction. Does anyone have that listing? We would like to play the best teams as this will only benefit the girls. We have entered tournaments where we should see most if not all of these teams multiple times. (Ohio Stingray Tournament, Sparks Invite, Hobart ASA, Warsaw, etc.)
We treat the indoor season as practice for the outdoor season. It may be premature to define a true top team list until all of us get outside where balls hit hard will travel, outfielders need to make plays, and the catchers do not have the aid of a 4' backstop. There are teams that will not start until April as well due to other sport obligations, such as the Valpo Phoenix last season.
If anyone is interested in playing, we would be interested.
I wish everyone well this season, and we hope the groundhog is wrong as can not wait to get outside....

SportZone (as all ASA in IN) does not list teams for their tournaments. I can tell you that according to Judy, the March 2-4 tournament at 10U is full (we are playing that one as is Edge 01). I am not sure about 2nd and 3rd weekends, we are playing 12U those weekends.
We will also be at Hobart ASA, Stingray's, but decided to go the Shamburg, IL tournament rather that Spark's after speaking with some coaches from IL. We look forward to seeing you this year. I have heard good things about you guys.
What National are you guys planning to attend? We will be fighting for 1 of the births for ASA/USA. I hope to see lots of teams at the Qualifiers!!!!!!!

I wish we would have looked at Sportzone earlier. Brian has always been good to us in Lafayette, and it is only half the distance for the families. We would have liked to play a great team. If you hear of anything opening at Sportzone for that March 2-4 date, we would be interested in filling this.
We may play more than one sanction championship if qualified as the NSA world series is in Crown Point this year, and the ASA Northern State is in Crown Point as well I believe. Having players from Crown Point this is a non-travel tournament for us. In our immediate area to date, the NSA teams have been better overall than the ASA.
From last season, half of our team stayed and the other half went to the White Sox. We did not see a better defensive team than yours last season in Lafayette (AFA).

10U ASA Northern Nationals is in Bowling Green, KY
10U ASA/USA Nationals is in Bloomington, IN

In Indiana NSA is stronger at the younger ages, because most play NSA. Nationally, ASA/USA MUCH stronger!!!!!!
I would say top to bottom best 10U Nats IMO would be
ASA/USA
USFA A
NSA A
USFA B
USSSA
NSA B
ASA North and East usually not many teams. TCS in Park City, UT would be way up there too.

I agree with you.
It's much easier to qualify and play in National events in NSA. Played in 3 USFA tournaments last season and thought they were very well run. Huge disparity from top to bottom as the good teams were great and the bottom teams were not very good leading to many early non-competative games.
