I would think thats y ASA has those Nationals centrally located throughout the U.S. Sure, it may not be "beautiful sunsets" and lovely weather with tons of things to do... But, where I'm from we look for those things when we go on vacation!!! We are going to Moline to play ball!! As long as there is competition, who cares about the rest. And, I have done some research with actual people involved with a couple of the best soCal teams, and it seems the common plan from what I'm getting is they plan to do both. And btw, we are NOT a rich team and VERY competitive and we will be in Moline!!.. Lol

?????Teams without money, competitive or not, should go to LA. Even though it is further, it will be way cheaper. Flights to LA right now are $213. Flights to Moline $493. That is $280, or $1120 for a family of four, or 8400 extra dollars for the average 30 people that travel with a team. That is just on airfare. Add in jacked up hotel rates, extra days in town. It could easily double the 8400 in additional cost to go to Moline.

CA is a good place for vacation...Although I dont believe you could travel there and stay a week without nationals and not spend more money than in Moline.

If you were to sit down and host a tournament a tournament to serve the teams traveling from across the US, you would never think to look at the places that ASA looks

With the exception of last years 18G in San Diego, I agree.
If PGF were to be in Florida in 2013 and ASA were to be in Midland, Moline, Bloomington, Sioux Falls, or any of the other regular ASA circuit stops, SoCal teams would aim for PGF in Florida.
